In releasing three new albums, 42 songs, and 14 music videos in a day, Drake is borrowing from the MAGA playbook of flooding the zone. You can’t process it all, and that’s by design. vulture.com/article/drake-…

We just relaxed tariffs on importation of Argentinian beef because the lack of U.S. supply relative to demand was jacking up prices, but now we are going to export the U.S. beef we were told we were short on to China? Make it make sense.
Secretary Brooke Rollins@SecRollins

Proud to confirm that our deal-maker-in-chief @POTUS has done it AGAIN! 🇺🇸🥩🤝 American beef — the best beef in the world! — will be back on the shelves in China soon. They are implementing beef commitments, including resuming imports from 17 states. This means restoring up to $165 per head in added value for exports for our cattle ranchers. Mostly variety cuts like hoofs and tongues that Americans don’t prefer to consume. This builds on our work @USDA and @Interior to provide the certainty that ranchers need to grow the domestic beef herd. This is critical because the herd size has given historic lows in recent years. Thank you to our great President, alongside our amazing chief negotiators @USTradeRep and @SecScottBessent for putting our farmers and ranchers FIRST. What a WIN-WIN for ranchers, and ultimately consumers.💪

This tweet, with its extreme claims, caught my attention because Elon Musk reposted it. I asked Gemini if any of these claims are accurate. It assured me that they are not. I then asked Grok, which replied that the first four are in fact accurate, and it provided details and sources supporting its response. So, I went back to Gemini, copied and pasted Grok's reply into a prompt, and asked Gemini what it thought about what Grok had just told me. Here's Gemini's response: "I stand corrected... I apologize for my previous response. I attempted to separate fact from social media exaggeration but failed to properly verify the depth of the horrific testimonies from the actual trials like Operation Bullfinch and the Rotherham inquiries. The details you cited from Grok accurately reflect the devastating and brutal reality of what these victims endured."

Spending money is not a win, yet this seems to be Democrats’ governing ideology. They brag about education spending, not education results. They brag about jobs created by the high speed rail project, rather than the amount of high speed rail created.
Governor Newsom Press Office@GovPressOffice

Student funding in California is now a RECORD HIGH! Since Governor Newsom took office, it’s increased 66%— reaching $28,282 per student as the state makes historic investments in public education.

Google Maps Satellite Imagery of Palisades Fire Area Reverts to Pre-Disaster Views Amid Mayoral Race Scrutiny Pacific Palisades, CA Residents and observers are raising questions after Google Maps satellite imagery of areas devastated by the January 2025 Palisades Fire appears to have reverted to pre fire conditions, more than 16 months after the blaze. The Palisades Fire, which erupted on January 7, 2025, in the Santa Monica Mountains, became one of the most destructive wildfires in Los Angeles history. The fire burned over 23,000 acres, destroyed thousands of structures across Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu, and claimed multiple lives. Eyewitnesses and official reports confirmed widespread devastation, with satellite and aerial imagery shortly after the fire clearly showing scorched landscapes and leveled homes. Google reportedly updated its satellite layer multiple times in the following months to reflect the damage. However, if you check now, recent imagery in many affected neighborhoods has reverted to older, pre-January 2025 views. Homes that burned are shown as intact, and the visible burn scar has diminished or disappeared in places. I personally watched dozens and dozens of homes burn during the fire. It’s pretty odd that the images would revert back to 2025 images to make it look undamaged. So many people don’t realize the magnitude of the size of the fire and now can’t see how much of the city burned. If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself! The screen recording was shot today at 6:08pm 5-15-26 The coinciding with the 2026 Los Angeles mayoral race. Challengers, including reality TV star Spencer Pratt, whose own home was destroyed in the fire have prominently criticized the delayed response of city officials, pointing to issues like resource management, preparedness, and recovery efforts. The discrepancy in widely used mapping tools has left some survivors feeling the scale of their loss is being visually minimized at a sensitive time. American college grads are literally 7% (at least) more expensive to hire than foreign OPT workers ….because of a ridiculous tax loophole that lets companies skip FICA taxes on those foreign hires. Senator @SenTomCotton introduced the OPT Fair Tax Act on September 30, 2025 to END it and make them pay the same as Americans. This should be the most obvious NO-BRAINER vote in Congress. It’s been sitting in committee for over 7 months with ZERO action. How has this STILL not passed yet? (And yeah — OPT should be banned outright anyway.) Pass the bill NOW and put American workers FIRST. 🇺🇸

For years, our tax code has encouraged hiring foreign workers instead of Americans. @DHSgov is cracking down on this fraud, but more can be done. Congress should pass my OPT Fair Tax Act. cis.org/Jacobs/DHSs-Cr…

The US job market needs help: Since December 2023, the healthcare and social assistance sector has added +1.76 million jobs. Over the same period, all other private sector industries have collectively lost -127,800 jobs. Private sector employment, excluding healthcare, has fallen in 14 of the last 25 months. As a result, private payrolls excluding healthcare have fallen by an average of -12,000 each month over the last year. The biggest decline was recorded in February, when -110,000 jobs were shed in these sectors. The job market has never been more reliant on medical services.

@martyrdison Seems pretty easy: - Legislate electricity costs - Legislate pollution - Ensure ample housing (probably doesn’t matter for just a datacenter) - Collect tax revenues

no one would care about data centers in their neighborhood if it came with free electricity and wifi the second americans benefit from the infrastructure, everyone becomes pro data center instead of against it
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

71% of Americans now oppose data centers being built in their area. Nearly half of all Americans (48%) strongly oppose them. And just 7% strongly favor data centers being built in their area, according to new Gallup polling.
