Language matters
US & Israel - “end this war” as if it’s a justified war.
Iran - “Stop attacking your neighbors” as if they randomly blanket attacking.
Com’on @antonioguterres — have a ball and call a spade is a spade. At a very least call US & Israel to Stop Attacking

I have two clear messages:
First, to the United States & Israel:
It’s high time to end this war that is risking to get out of control, causing immense suffering on civilians, with dramatic effects on the global economy & potentially tragic consequences, especially for the least developed countries.
Second, my message to Iran:
Stop attacking your neighbors, they were never parties to the conflict.
The Security Council has condemned these attacks, has ordered them to stop, as it has order to open the Strait of Hormuz.
The prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz causes enormous pain for so many people around the world who have nothing to do with this conflict.
It’s time for the force of the law to prevail over the law of the force.
It’s time for diplomacy to prevail over war.

🇵🇰🇺🇸 U.S. Secretary of State Rubio says Washington is not yet asking Pakistan or other countries to formally commit troops to a proposed Gaza stabilization force, admitting the U.S. “owes them a few more answers” first. He said the administration feels “very confident” it has multiple nation-states “acceptable to all sides” willing to participate, adding that the immediate next steps will be announcing a “Board of Peace” and a Palestinian technocratic committee.

Perhaps His Excellency @DrMFaisal and Honorable Minister @TararAttaullah would help jog the Defence Minister's memory. Isn't it true that "Doctor" Shama Junejo, being a member of PM @CMShehbaz's official delegation, was staying in the same Churchill Hotel as both the Defence and Information Ministers from 18 to 22 September? Surely, members of the PM's delegation (granted it was so large it could not all be accommodated at Churchill) would have seen each other in the lobby over five days, or have at least a passing acquaintance with each other? Or is the Defence Minister implying that the good doctor just turned up uninvited at the PM's PAF Airbus 319 (passenger capacity 156) to take the flight to New York?
Also, would the Ambassador care to clarify if @PakistaninUK provided midnight "halal" snacks from KFC to all members of the PM's entourage or was this privilege reserved only for Dr. @ShamaJunejo? And while we are at it, perhaps those at the helm in @ForeignOfficePK and @PakistanUN_NY could guide me as to how I could get my hands on one of those UN delegate passes that the dear lady is clearly wearing in the photograph shared by the Defence Minister. You see it is my lifelong dream to sit behind the Defence Minister (he is the Field Marshal's "boss man", after all) at an august forum like the UN.
