Guess ill move off of Vercel for (unpaid) personal projects at this point. I dont mind if people ask permission for this, and everyones free to make their own choices, but I am your funnel, not your product.

@bentlegen I honestly have no idea how anyone can keep track of more than 2 agents. The context switching is too much for me personally. My workflow is basically when agent 1 is done -> start agent 2 and review agent 1’s work -> repeat @gitbutler helps a lot with conflicts here

When a thought leader says "I have 10 agents going" folks picture an unsupervised cluster of AI coworkers working 24/7 But 9 times out of 10 it's just a bunch of terminal windows that need to be prompted continuously

@rickyfm @DavidKPiano I think one of the issues at the time was the lack of react docs going from class components -> hooks. So all we had were tutorials that taught everyone to abuse useEffect I remember hating React at the time, but later realized I was just using it wrong.

Holy shit zed is good. 1 worktree UX is much nicer than anything else in vscode/cursor 2 Wow, the tab complete UX is so much better than Cursor. There is also a "subtle" setting for other people that find themselves snoozing cursor's tab complete often

@badlogicgames List of all bad review bots integrated into a global registry to use with something like vouched would be great. Although github should do this themselves

i'm so fucking tired. i want a setting on all my repos that bans review bots once and for all. i want another setting that lets me flag shitty review bots, so github can autoban them from other repos as well. #issuecomment-4077003819" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/badlogic/pi-mo…

@youyuxi @theo I think using dev specifically is a bit too prone to accidental use. I think ‘vp start’ might work better? I think not being able to run a command in parallel is annoying, at least in non-monorepo use cases. Then again, if monorepos become easy enough, we won’t need it.

@theo Also the mindset is “vp xxx” is always a built-in command and will never run your scripts. Only “vp run xxx” runs your scripts. No room for confusion IMO, just a habit problem.

One thing that I know some people will complain about, and @theo did in fact complained about, is how ‘vp dev’ is a built-in command rather than running the dev script like a package manager does. Fundamentally this is because vp is not a package manager or just a task runner - it’s a full toolchain. A package manager doesn’t have a built-in dev feature, but vp does. Running scripts is something vp can do, but you make the intention explicit via ‘vp run’ instead of expecting implicit fallback. I actually very much dislike the implicit script fallback behavior because it forces you to remember what built-in commands the runner has - for example, you can’t run a script named ‘deploy’ with ’pnpm deploy’ because… turns out pnpm has a built-in deploy command. With the large command surface vp has, implicit fallback is only going to be confusing than helpful.

@mitsuhiko Not throwing shade but Open models were Chinese labs' strategy to gain global market share. Open-sourcing just to compete with inference providers is a bad business. Hopefully they can switch to licensing fees for inference providers instead of closed weight

@wesbos @KentonVarda I made a mcp with it to run untrusted code & self-host some projects that need durable objects. Part of the difficulty is that it's not on any pkg managers, so you have to pull updates from github releases

@MichaelArnaldi I wish both of them just shut up and instead worked on catching up to the other. Would be great if Vercel worked on improving management of stateful workloads and cloudflare worked on improving DX

I wish to see a more unified future, with fewer proprietary runtimes and solutions that work towards portability, I think as users we all want to see the same thing. Both companies are hugely inspiring and have achieved great things , Next redefined the standard of how we build full stack apps for a long time, CF built the best networking ever seen, but looking at the past few months I am like WTF…

CF and Vercel please stop fighting, good people are getting harmed in the middle and more fragmentation will only hurt the JS ecosystem. You’re both great companies with lots of skilled engineers and we collaborate with both of you, it was fun to see some stabbing NGL

@clockworkhr_ Honestly, you should have opened an issue for this and documented your solution in the issue. Alternatively, if you want to update the documentation, make a minor change instead of a large AI-generated MD file. If they reject it, understand they might prefer a different fix.

2/ Here's what happened: passkeys from iCloud Keychain / Apple Passwords weren't working in Helium. Not QR-based, not security keys — the ones stored in the Secure Enclave via macOS. I've been fighting this for days. 3/ I used AI to help me diagnose the issue. The fix? tccutil reset WebBrowserPublicKeyCredential net.imput.helium That's it. Passkeys work again. Real fix. Real problem. Verified on my machine. 4/ I submitted PR #185 with this fix. I'll be the first to admit — the AI went overboard and generated a bunch of README documentation and passkey guides I didn't ask for and didn't want. That's on me for not reviewing the full diff before submitting. Fair.

1/ Hey @uwukko @inputnet — I'm a paying Helium supporter at $50/month because I believe in what you're building. Privacy-focused browsing matters to me. So imagine my surprise when I submit a PR that fixes a real bug and you label it "AI SLOP SPAM" and lock it.

@Billyndroid @trillhause_ @bentlegen Do you have any examples of court cases? I had trouble finding ones that were enforced except for ones where it involved using the company’s intellectual property. For example, I’m sceptical that a court would enforce this if an employee used the company laptop.
