@planvictory @JoshRainerGold @spencerpratt Leftists like crime, poverty, and urban decay because it makes people frightened and desperate, which makes them more open to the idea of radical social change. A safe and prosperous people have absolutely no use for a Marxist Revolution, so Leftists hate safety and prosperity.

One of the most dangerous things about @spencerpratt is that if he wins he will clean up Los Angeles and show that it can be done in New York, Chicago, Seattle, etc. None of our cities have to be like this. As goes California, so goes the nation.

Your dippy meme is not applicable. Shapiro stated that if a person is struggling to afford living in New York City, that they should consider moving elsewhere to save money and improve their quality of life. You took issue with him saying that someone who can’t afford New York City should go elsewhere, so I’m asking for your solution.

@JAC_III @BridgetPhetasy So you’re asserting that it’s a fundamental human right for every American to live in affordable housing in New York City? How should the government enforce this right?

Unfortunately, Leftists love violent criminals because violent criminals destabilize society and increase the likelihood that people will be frightened into accepting radical social change. That’s why Leftists always fight for short, if any, prison sentences for violent offenders and do everything they can to stop victims from defending themselves. Absolutely nothing makes a Leftist angrier than when a victim fights back against a violent criminal, ie Kyle Rittenhouse, George Zimmerman, Daniel Penny, etc. The Leftist animosity for these men was far greater than for any violent criminal who just murders an innocent person on the street.

@Skwerilleee When I was more liberal, before the liberals moved radically further left, It was my position the gun access should be a liberal tentpole. Firearms are the great equalizer for the disadvantaged... disabled, elderly, women jogging at night, minorities...

Something that happens to me literally every time I'm talking politics with a liberal: I'll mention that the gun control is a total dealbreaker on voting blue for a lot of people. They respond with "nobody wants to take your guns, that's just republican fearmongering." I point out that no, literally every democrat candidate wants an assault weapons ban. That's not some republican lie, it's literally right there on their own issues pages. Rather than acknowledging that they were incorrect and continuing the conversation from there, they just immediately pivot to "omg nobody needs an assault weapon!" It's literally like a script, I've had the exact same conversation like 1000 times.

@sappholives83 Both ends of that story are insane. Would they artificially limit a girl who ran too fast, jumped too high, or shot too well?! And, of course, the idea that a boy with a ponytail is a girl is an insane delusion that will fascinate future generations.

I just had a very interesting conversation with a man who used to coach girls’ basketball. He stopped coaching because he had a female player who was 6’1, and the league decided to limit her playing time because her height made it “unfair” for the other team. He said the final straw was when one of the other teams showed up with a crossdressing boy in tow, and the boy’s playing time wasn’t limited. At the end of our conversation, he thanked me for speaking up for women. All of the decent men are on our side.

This was one of the most brainless “controversies” I’d ever seen. Shapiro says that people who are struggling to make ends meet while living in New York City, one of the most expensive cities in the world, should consider moving somewhere more affordable so they can save money and have a better quality of life, and a bunch of morons online act like he just bitchslapped George Washington. It’s like telling a broke friend that he shouldn’t eat at fancy restaurants every night, and having him tell you that you’ve betrayed America.

There was a time, not very long ago, when Ben Shapiro could reasonably call himself the king of all conservative media. That’s all over now, writes political columnist Ross Barkan. Shapiro’s company, ‘The Daily Wire,’ is instituting significant layoffs. Its YouTube channel’s subscriber base is starting to shrink, and its website has emerged as one of the great traffic losers in conservative media. There are ‘Daily Wire’ YouTube videos that now, after a few days online, have less than 10,000 views, a catastrophically small number for a channel with more than 3 million subscribers. The top comments all mock the low view counts. “If a variety of poor business decisions can be blamed, in part, for the ‘Daily Wire’’s fall from grace — ill-fated investments in feature films, an epic fantasy series, and peculiar merchandise — the greater story is the collapse of Shapiro’s constituency,” writes Barkan. “There are two realities to Shapiro conservatism in 2026: It retains a significant foothold among Republican elites, and it is fast being rejected by the future grassroots of the party.” Read more: nymag.visitlink.me/KtpIKV

This is a silly question. If, shortly after October 7th, the people of Gaza had turned over all of the terrorists who participated in the attack as well as returned all of the hostages, the Israelis wouldn’t have had to engage in massive urban warfare. The people of Gaza made a different choice and they have to live with it.

🚨WATCH: A 15-year-old student in North Carolina cries to her school board about the district's handling of a biological male using the girls' restroom at her school. "It was reported ... and yet, nothing. That is unacceptable," she told the Cabarrus County Board of Education through tears on Monday. The incident occurred in the district's Mount Pleasant High School, the student said. She told the school board both parents and students have thanked her for speaking up because "they're too afraid to do it themselves." "If this board refuses to listen before something serious happens, the responsibility will fall on you all. The ones who ignored all warnings," she added.

TODAY is the day. The DOJ must charge Fauci for lying under oath or lose the chance forever. This man oversaw gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it repeatedly, and watched as you were called crazy for asking questions. The statute of limitations expires tomorrow. The American people have waited long enough for accountability.

I think this issue will become increasingly moot as Hispanics become an increasingly high percentage of the population and the black percentage remains stagnant. Brazile’s paradigm, like Kendi’s, requires people to think of America as a white/black (oppressor/oppressed) dichotomy, but the very multiculturalism that Democrats champion will be the death of that paradigm.

This is not a sincere question. It is the use of historical racism to keep us perpetually trapped in the white guilt-black power racial order.
Donna Brazile@donnabrazile

Final thoughts on #JimCrow: My conservatives colleagues have argued it’s time to return to a “colorblind” system of governance. Race has been a defining characteristic of American life. How can we apply colorblindness to a society still shaped by historical racial inequality?

@sammcbucketts @BTRowland Trading last year’s 13 pick for last year’s 23 pick and this year’s 8 pick is still a great trade. It’s disappointing not to get a top player, but it’s still a lot better than nothing.

In 458 BC, Rome was on the brink of collapse. An invading army had trapped the Roman consul and his legion in a mountain pass. Panic spread through the city. The Senate did the only thing they could think of: They sent messengers to find a 60-year-old farmer plowing his field. His name was Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus. He had once been a senator, then lost his fortune paying his son's bail. Now he worked his own four-acre plot just to feed his family. When the Senate's envoys arrived, they found him sweating behind a plow. They asked him to put on his toga so they could deliver an official message. The message: Rome was making him dictator. Absolute power. Total command of the army. No checks. No oversight. No term limit. He accepted. Within 16 days, Cincinnatus had raised an army, marched out, surrounded the enemy, and forced their surrender. The republic was saved. He had legal authority to rule for six months. He could have stayed. He could have expanded his power. He could have done what every other ruler in human history did when handed unlimited control. Instead, he resigned on day 16. He took off the toga, walked back to his farm, and finished plowing the field he'd left half-done. Twenty years later, when Rome faced another crisis, they called him back. He was 80 years old. He took command, crushed the conspiracy, and resigned again, this time after just 21 days. He died poor. On his farm. 2,200 years later, when George Washington was offered a kingship after winning the American Revolution, he refused and went home to Mount Vernon. The reason he was hailed as "the American Cincinnatus" is because Europeans literally could not believe a man who had won would willingly give up power. King George III, on hearing Washington would resign rather than rule, said: "If he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world." The lesson isn't that Cincinnatus was humble. The lesson is that for most of human history, the people most qualified to lead were the ones who didn't want to. And the moment a society starts rewarding those who chase power instead of those who flee from it is the moment the republic begins to die. Cincinnati, Ohio is named after him. Most people who live there have no idea why.

@WLMHaworth @StephenMoore I expect this to be a major issue in the next few years. I think the Democrats will begin shutting down the federal government unless the annual federal budgets include massive blue state bailouts. (Unless the Democrats control the government, in which case they’ll just do it.)

The biggest wealth transfer in American history isn’t happening on Wall Street. It’s happening on U-Hauls. Over $2 trillion in income fled high-tax blue states for low-tax red states in just 11 years. And blue states’ solution? Raise taxes again.

I explained that it’s not about that particular issue, but about what a person’s position on that issue says about their overall intellectual and moral functioning. If you went to a doctor, and he told you that he believes that all modern medical knowledge was revealed to scientists by talking chipmunks, you would be justified in thinking that doctor is likely incompetent. It doesn’t mean that you’re an anti-chipmunk single issue voter.
