@histories_arch A closer, magnified look at the engraving reveals intentional shading between the lines in critical areas. How do you explain this?

Claude Mellan's Face of Christ, also known as The Sudarium of Saint Veronica (1649), is one of the most technically extraordinary works in art history... The entire portrait is rendered using a single, continuous spiralling line that begins at the tip of Christ's nose and expands outward to the edges of the cloth. Mellan achieved the illusion of depth, shadow, and facial features without any cross-hatching or traditional shading. Instead, he precisely varied the thickness and pressure of the burin (his engraving tool) as he rotated the copper plate, creating "swelling" lines that darken the image where needed. The spiralling line is estimated to be approximately 150m (about 500ft) long if it were stretched out.

@Itsmeeeetristan It isn't repairable due to the fact both players can't identify the offending card, that's an instant game loss. To repair it would require knowing what the card is and being able to confirm the gamestate can be rewound to what it was before the mistake to avoid unfair advantages

Even factoring in YGO policy, this gamestate *is* repairable. Unless there's a mechanic in One Piece that I'm unaware of (I don't play the game), the error was caught after a search (which should be public knowledge), and the card that performs that search was provably drawn for turn.

So I read through the entire thread and have many thoughts. 1. The player in question here should have paid attention to their match and should be held accountable for creating a damaged gamestate. If people are willing to give him the leniency saying that it was an honest mistake that he didn't catch, I don't see how they can say that their opponent couldn't have just as easily missed the mistake. To suggest that the opponent realized the mistake and waited is genuinely unreasonable and isn't a good argument unless you can undeniably prove that they did so maliciously. If you cannot prove it beyond "it feels scummy" then your argument is invalid. 2. A lot of people are saying that the first judge's ruling of just randomly putting the extra card back was a reasonable one. This is legitimately crazy. In this situation the draws for turn would have been different and putting the card back randomly somewhere on top of the deck would alter the way the game would have gone, thus is not a correct way to fix the gamestate. In this situation the gamestate was 100% irreparable because there was no way to rewind the gamestate to a point where the game would have played out identically to how it would have had the mistake not happened. Any situation in which we create a new gamestate that is legal but isn't identical to what the gamestate WOULD have been is an unreasonable way to fix the issue in a tournament setting. 3. People are calling the opponent a shark for appealing the initial judge's decision. Let me make this very clear: You are NEVER a shark for appealing a ruling, EVER. Appealing doesn't make you an asshole, doesn't make you a shark nor does it make you "that guy". The appeal system in any TCG exists specifically so that you have the right to get a 2nd opinion when you disagree with a judge's initial ruling. This can go both ways, you can appeal and have the head judge confirm the floor judge's ruling which gives you confirmation that the initial ruling was correct, which is a good outcome OR it confirms that the floor judge made a mistake (this can happen often) and you appealing has caused you to instead get a correct ruling. The appeal system is there to protect players and make sure that they are ruled for fairly in a majority of situations. In their position I would have also appealed as the floor judge's initial ruling was not reasonable and I think that the head judge's call here was 100% correct. An irreparable gamestate caused by the player most at fault (the one who made the mistake) resulting in a game loss is the most reasonable course of action. 4. I think the only real mistake the head judge made in this situation is that they didn't also issue a warning to the opponent who didn't notice OP's mistake. They also had a reasonable amount of opportunity to catch the mistake and should be given a warning for not having caught it when it happened. However, I think it is not reasonable to assume the player maliciously waited before calling a judge as there is no way to prove it. 5. Another big thing that needs to be talked about, is that OP's thread here does not own up to their own mistake AT ALL and instead directs full blame to their opponent and accuses them of maliciously trying to force them into an illegal gamestate in order to "earn a free win off the judge call". I think it's unfair that this player is starting a witch hunt against his opponent when the opponent genuinely did everything right. If they caught a mistake and called the judge when they noticed the mistake happened, then appealed when they disagreed with the floor judge, then they did everything exactly the way they were supposed to. In Yu-Gi-Oh, this behavior of calling someone out for "maliciously trying to gain an unfair advantage due to a judge call" would result in that player making the accusation being suspended for a certain duration of time. Overall, I think it's unfortunate that this player got a game loss, but the reality is that they got a loss for their own mistake and here they are clearly attempting to deflect the blame when in reality they are the player most at fault for causing their own game loss.

Hey @TeamYouTube @YouTube please double check the appeal for StarboundHFY and StarboundExtra. They were caught in your mass demonetization of AI story tellers, and both of these channels use actual people to read and produce the content. The only thing AI is the images.

@Raen4657 @WoolyWolfee Fair points. But yeah, my initial point was the fact that the AI isn't used unethically. It's done a lot of good that the blind hate for AI tends to ignore

@fedginator Possible. I've checked all sources including the Townhall server, no one official said anything even when people would ask about it. This whole thing stinks to me, there was no evidence of an official survey, third-party site, questions covering a hot topic. 3 red flags to me

@Skellitor301 Discord dot sjc1 is the same domain they've used for surveys before, so unless someone got Discords login themselves it's from Discord. You're right about no official sources tho. My guess is that it was supposed to be given to users on-platform and got leaked instead

The Discord "how do you feel about AI" survey is kinda shocking with how easy it is to say "absolutely fucking not I will leave". IDK who made the survey, but this was very clearly made so that someone can tell a higher up "no dude, there will will be insane backlash to this".

@fedginator What bothers me is there's nothing I've seen from any official Discord sources about it. Not to mention assuming that Qualtrics has a free trial with 3 free surveys. You also don't need to ask personal questions to get personal info from a survey, your IP at least is logged.

@Raen4657 @WoolyWolfee I get what you are trying to say when it comes to training LLM's and I'm not trying to say you are wrong. I'm just saying I can't find anything online that solidly confirms what she is trained on. If you got any sources to what she herself is trained on I'd appreciate it.

@Raen4657 @WoolyWolfee Something to correct, I don't hate Neurosama. I think it's an interesting project and enjoy the fact it's done a lot of positive things so far. As for her training data, all I know is I looked and nothing has really said definitively what it is outside of speculation

@Raen4657 @WoolyWolfee Looking into it, found out she's not just a LLM but multiple AI systems including a gaming AI from her osu days. Probably why I didn't think of her as a generative AI since I knew she used to play osu. As for her training data, as far as I can see online it's mainly twitch chat.

@Skellitor301 @WoolyWolfee No. You can't create an LLM using only twitch chat. Especially not a highly functional multimodal system like Neuro. Twitch chat was just used to finetune after the fact. Her LLM is just like any other.

@JuiceMan_V Steam has memes of assassinating people who steal your account while Nintendo bricks your system because your friend borrowed your switch once and then later started using illegal cards. What standard are you trying to bash here because it certainly isn't consumer appreciation.

@32nds @BlazenWrath NGL, I don't think generally looking at options like that is necessarily a good way to look at game design. Giving players options to play more to their style is allowing the game to be open to more people. This instance though I will agree on, sprint doesn't add much at all.

You aren’t supposed to be able to take the Warthog up to steamroll the Hunters. I intentionally placed rocks in the way so you had to fight them on foot. When you can just smash the crates out of the way it wrecks the encounters. But the worst part? They put trees in the landing area of the WooHoo Jump. Lame. @game_fabricator What have they done to beloved B30?!

For anybody wondering what is going on with $CANCER live stream... my life was saved for whole 24 hours untill someone tuned in my stream and got me to download verified game on @Steam After this I was drained for over 32,000$ USD of my creator fees earned on @pumpdotfun and everything quickly changed. I can't breathe, I can't think, im completely lost on what is going to happen next, can't shake the feeling that it is my fault that I might end up on street again or not have anything to eat in few days... my heart wants to jump out of my mouth and it hurts. I won't rewatch this myself but I have added a clip from the stream after I noticed what has happened. also I have succesfully (CTOed) my creator rewards and they have been redirected to safe device. @a1lon9
