This is my last comment to you on this. Blaming Bankless for voicing alternative ideas is wrong - that’s my job as a podcaster and I take it seriously. It’d be a great disservice to keep the Ethereum community in an idea bubble - they’ll become weak - unable to defend their thesis or learn new things. I don’t want a weak Ethereum. I put out a tweet asking for an ETH bull to take Kyle’s points one by one. @sassal0x stepped up and will come on after his vacation - this is what strength looks like. Defeat Kyle and Anatoly’s ideas with better ideas - win hearts and minds. On price. It’s interesting that you have owned SOL in the past, I have not. My percentage of net worth in ETH is higher than Vitalik’s - over 90%. So you might say I have more conviction in ETH than even you - and I’m certainly secure enough in my ideas to hear the thesis of a SOL-shilling VC. Look I know the ETH price hasn’t been great this cycle - but so what? Do you believe the long term choices ETH has made will pay off or not? If so, you have nothing to worry about. This price stuff is short term noise. Lastly, on Bankless. I’ve been doing podcasts supporting Ethereum and crypto values for 5 years - almost 1000 episodes. Over 60m downloads to win hearts and minds. I care about Ethereum. I’m an ally. Saying Bankless is bad for Ethereum is just straight wrong. But if you really truly believe this, the most productive thing to do would be to gather others like you and go start creating your own content. I 1000% support new content creators propagating Ethereum. You could even begin with a “Why Kyle is Wrong” episode. I’d love that. No need to respond, all done here. Be well Ryan.

Many of you don't seem to realize that my objection isn't to Solana or competing perspectives. My objection is to liars and demagogues. Anatoly and Kyle have done an excellent job growing Solana. I like the job they've done so much that I made a lot of money on SOL, starting at $2.75. I currently own zero. Owned SOL 2020-21, 2023-24. Today I'm 95%+ ETH excluding real estate, and 100% of my professional time is spent on Ethereum. I'm not simply anti-Solana or anti-competition. In contrast, I have regularly asked certain Ethereum folks, for years, to be more curious about the novel apps on Solana. Truth is a cultural value of Ethereum. Yet for a long time, we were relatively closed-minded about the aspects of Solana's ecosystem that are genuinely novel. That's changing now. My objection to Anatoly and Kyle is that they often lie, and/or have "strong views, strongly held" that they represent as ironclad facts but are actually nonsense or ambiguous, and/or overpoliticize things to an extreme degree that'd make top KOLs blush. An example of a lie is Anatoly saying economic security is a meme. It's literally not. The quantity of lies here is dozens/hundreds in past few years. Beyond a pattern or circumstance, this is who they are. An example of a nonsense "strong view, strongly held" is Kyle saying "DA is worthless". In reality, whether or not DA is worthless depends on the context, especially on the next best alternative for where that data can go. There's little reason to think that L1 blobspace will be worthless. Instead, for Eth L1 DA, the real challenge is "endlessly insufficient" blobspace. We'll always want more. Blob fees will soon become "too high" and force some L2s to become validiums or volitions... this is bullish but I won't explain further now. imo it's urgent that Ethereum make ready EVM validium L2 SDKs as these are a critical resource once blobspace is soon saturated. afaik, the closest to production-readiness here may be Polygon zkEVM (is IMX zkEVM an L2 validium already?), zkSync, and perhaps OP Stack with zk upgrade. An example of overpoliticization is how Anatoly said yesterday in my replies "Deviation from the central committee platform is grounds for expulsion from the party, comrade." This is a classic usage of what I'll call the "zoom out and misrepresent" technique, employed often by Anatoly. This technique ignores the actual substance of the discussion by trying to make the opponent appear small-minded and extremist while trying to make the speaker seem wise and reasonable. Politicians have a toolkit of these techniques that help them win narrative battles in any situation. Anatoly also frequently aggressively reply-guys Ethereum community threads that are entirely internal and not the least bit related to competition with Solana. These days, often in regard to Eth's L2 model. This is because politicians insert themselves at the point of narrative leverage. Solana's current narrative leverage opportunity is to continue to paint the L2 model as broken - that's why Anatoly reply-guys L2 threads. The L2 model is not broken. It's the opposite. L2s are going to eat the economic world. Don't take it from me, take it from Coinbase, Sony, Ernst & Young, and Immutable X (hundreds of Triple-A funded games that take time to build... a titan emerging from its cocoon). By this time next year, you'll be able to take it from even more big corps and orgs because they're coming. My recent issue with Bankless is that, beginning in Feb 2023 when SOL was 7x lower in ETH terms, they gave Anatoly and Kyle a platform for their lies, nonsense views, and overpoliticization. This was actively harmful to Ethereum specifically because our transition to L2s is in its infancy and most people don't yet believe in it. The only earnest reason to make an L1 right now is that L2 SDKs aren't there yet but will get there soon, see hyperliquid. If the world already had common knowledge that L2s are best-in-class for corps/govts/NGOs/DAOs/everyone and also L2s are highly complementary and value-accretive to the L1 and ETH (not "parasitic"), then Bankless having any guest of their choice to spread misinformation about L2s wouldn't matter. But it did matter.

the reality most people aren't thinking about yet is that we are much, MUCH more likely to move towards some sort of more collectivist society as AI and robotics displace human labor over the next ~50 years and most people don't realize how much this has already happened over the past ~80 years since FDR i say this as someone who is a capitalist and has benefited from being rewarded for putting in hard work and taking risk: it doesn't take much of a leap to understand that human labor alone will likely become an inadequate way to distribute extreme amounts of societal wealth which AI and robotics will generate in the coming decades, BEFORE we've transitioned to a new economic system, i expect OWNERS OF CAPITAL will be disproportionately rewarded. this is why i'm always saying "accumulate productive assets and crypto while you still can" as there will be an interregnum period before whatever comes next THE PROBLEM is modern day societies which are more collectivist or "socialist" tend to conflate wealth distribution with actions which border on or explicitly represent authoritarian control this will actually GET WORSE with AI as it will become the norm that you will not get your UBI (universal basic income) payment unless you adhere to certain speech and action criteria and your "social score" is high enough still, the values of looking after your fellow citizens and bringing them along in shared prosperity (or at least giving them a very real chance at achieving that prosperity based on their own agency) so that you don't suffer a societal revolt will likely become more important (just wait until unemployment hits ~15%-25% one day) we will eventually have to find a better way and a better human philosophy for individual purpose, or our societies really will fall apart

That is a ridiculous statement. There is nuance to this argument that appears to be going under the radar in order to substantiate disconnection from the heart. "Equity" understands we all start from different points and adjusts accordingly to ensure a fairer start by lessoning the gap. It is a live rather than dead process that appeals to the strengths of us all as human beings and should really be a cornerstone of any civilised society. "Equality," however, is somewhat different. A dead standardisation that curtails the efforts of some in order to appease others. The whole concept exists to ensure a unified outcome.
