@atKenNelson @gunguytv Well said Ken. Given the amount of optic plates and optic milling we’ve done for law enforcement and elite military units, they find great value in them also. I never see these types of videos with small target windows with non shoots in the way.

I get what you are saying. It's a problem of light experience. Untrained people just do what you say, look at the face, point and shoot. And hit. It's odd to see. Folks that have tried a bit, experienced gun blast and recoil, start anticipating, and try to look at sights to "make sure", and so it goes down a spiral of failure. Oddly... it's better to be completely inexperienced. For hits, not for safety, and not past 5-7ish yards. For those who want to do better, they need to train more extensively, and IMHO that will include using the sights via confirmation because they came up aligned (if iron) or in front of the eye (RDS). Most people living in that unhappy space of anticipation and no training/round count to get thru it. As an aside... We measured several thousand FBI academy trainees on red dots vs iron sights, at 7 yards, hit factor. All metrics went up dramatically with the RDS. Accuracy, splits, draw. They then did much better on the (admittedly lame) FBI qual. Initial couple hundred were much slower (1st and splits) due to dot acquisition and over confirming all the information the dot gave, but training intervention fixed that and off to the races they went. IME the issue of finding the dot is also commonly seen in untrained people with irons as well. Any good training package should yield presentations, grip, stance that bring sights up aligned (or in RDS case properly oriented in front of the eye). and enough round count to acclimate to gun blast and muzzle flip.

@atensnut I have, both her hind legs ended up super mangled. I called the critter cops, the one they had just went on another call. They had me dispatch her so she didn't suffer.

God, I hope so. I love watching the end of Lone Survivor just to see that AC-130 come in and rain hate. I literally don't even watch the rest of the movie anymore.

🚨 BREAKING via NYT: An Air Force officer whose fighter jet had been shot down in Iran was rescued by U.S. Special Operations forces in a risky Saturday night mission that took commandos deep into enemy territory. A senior U.S. military official described the mission to rescue the airman as one of the most challenging and complex in the history of U.S. special operations. The mission to save the crew member employed hundreds of special forces troops, dozens of U.S. warplanes, helicopters, and cyber, space and other intelligence capabilities. U.S. attack aircraft dropped bombs and opened fire on Iranian convoys to keep them away from the area where the airman was hiding. As U.S. forces converged on the downed airman, a firefight erupted, two former senior military officials briefed on the operation said. The airman was equipped with a beacon and a secure communication device for coordinating with forces mounting the rescue. A senior U.S. military official described the mission to rescue the airman as one of the most challenging and complex in the history of U.S. special operations. In a final twist after the weapons officer was rescued, two transport planes that would carry the commandos and the airmen to safety got stuck at a remote base in Iran. Commanders decided to fly in three new planes to extract all the U.S. military personnel and the airmen, and they blew up the two disabled planes rather than have them fall into Iranian hands.

Again, the connotation of "extraterrestrials" in this conversation is limited to space aliens, per the discussion between @elonmusk and @TuckerCarlson, above. People can launch into tangential theories about spiritual beings from other places of existence (in which I happen to believe quite firmly) all they like, but they aren't germane, here. Try to stay on topic. Focus.

NEW: Newsmax's Rob Finnerty left speechless after Rep. Tim Burchett said if people saw what he has seen in relation to aliens, "it would've set the Earth on fire." Burchett also let viewers know that he is not "su*cidal." The comment came while Burchett was responding to Matt Gaetz's recent suggestion that there was an alien-human breeding program. "We're in meetings and they give addresses and locations of... items."

@MiloDCooper @CollinRugg That is your shallow thinking showing through. Do you know what the “things” are? Have you evaluated them? Assuming unidentified object or foreign objects to must come from space is a very narrow scope of thought.

@CollinRugg 😂 LOL who still buys this crap? There are no extraterrestrials. Even if there were, it would be physically impossible for them to reach us. We're it. No space aliens are here and none are coming. youtube.com/shorts/1G3NQcQ…

@CollinRugg Idea of aliens visiting earth are preposterous considering the distances in relation to the restrictions placed on space travel by the speed of light. Wishful thinking on the part of many

@TheBrancaShow That is a very common EDC setup . It is actually missing a few common upgrades. Maybe you should educate yourself on trends of the last decade. If would be glad to help as we manufacture and sell those products.

@TheBrancaShow In my personal opinion, anyone who puts shit like optics and flashlights on your gun is a Larper. I've never owned a gun with anything other than iron sights. IMO optics and other shit just make you a worse shooter.

Typical American politics of the situation aside, I carry a gun every day. That shouldn't give LE a pretext to kill me, or that pretext discourage me from exercising that right. There are Second Amendment implications here.

Video from another angle shows this specific weapon in Border Patrol's hands while the first shot was fired. Unless the victim had a second weapon - zero evidence produced so far - it seems clear he didn't fire it.
