“Clean voter rolls are essential to a strong democracy and electoral system that people can trust and rely on,” [SED President Nicole] Kelly told @KaelanDC for the @dcexaminer. “Without clean voter rolls, you don’t really have a fundamentally strong election system.” Kelly said the DOJ’s push is aimed at determining whether states are complying with federal requirements already in place. “The emphasis by the Trump administration’s DOJ to make sure that states are following federal law when it comes to making sure these voter rolls are clean, accurate, and compliant is an effort that a lot of people should be proud of,” she added.

Candidates have more opportunities than ever to hold television stations accountable for airing one-sided, partisan talk shows masquerading as "entertainment." The FCC confirmed that Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, Seth Meyers, and their daytime counterparts like The View, don't qualify for a news exception to the equal time rules, and a political candidate whose opponent appears on one of these may have the right to seek equal time from the station that aired the show. After 11 years of litigating a case that started when Lois Lerner illegally targeted my conservative client, a federal court just struck down the IRS’s “Facts and Circumstances” test as unconstitutional. The court’s decision makes clear that the IRS can no longer weaponize unconstitutional rules to intimidate and punish conservatives. The board of elections in Seneca County, Ohio recently prohibited anyone who criticizes voting machines from serving as poll managers. That's a textbook First Amendment violation. I’ve decided to attend to their Board of Elections meeting on Tuesday & will urge them to rescind.

When I was maybe 9 or 10 years old and watching a lot of wrestling, Hulk Hogan was “injured” in a sneak attack by the classic heel Earthquake (if you know you know). I sent a get well card to the Hulkster, and in a few weeks I received a postcard with a picture of Hulk, ready to return to the ring, and thanking me for supporting his recovery. That postcard was hanging in my 5th grade locker all year. Coolest performer ever, loved his fans, and the only dude with 24 inch pythons.
