@BohuslavskaKate A free people, when their freedom is threatened, use that freedom to innovate, organize, and fight back. This is why they’ve held off the superior military & economic power of Russia. Another reason the Russians are struggling? They are not a free people.

LT. GEN. WHITNEY: The biggest thing we’ve seen coming out of Ukraine is the rapid pace of innovation and how quickly they turn new concepts into reality. They fly things, test them, then iterate and constantly improve them. Their level of innovation is "out of this world".

I look forward to participating tomorrow in what will be an exciting discussion about getting behind community leadership in conserving biodiversity and other natural resources
Foundation for Ecological Security@fesforcommons

Webinar | Community Stewardship and the Role of Local Communities in Conservation Centering community stewardship represents a fundamental shift from traditional conservation approaches, moving beyond protection to active, responsible management of our natural world. Rather than viewing humans as separate from, or threats to, the natural systems, stewardship recognises our potential as thoughtful participants in ecological processes. This paradigm embraces the reality that most landscapes worldwide are human-influenced, requiring us to develop sophisticated skills in working with natural systems rather than against them. This webinar will explore how stewardship thinking can transform our approach to combating biodiversity loss, ecosystem degradation, and impact of climate change, while creating thriving communities and resilient landscapes. Additionally, discussants will draw upon their rich decades of experience working on these issues, placing them within the broader context of conservation while elaborating on how stewardship enhances the wellbeing of places through restored ecosystems and sustainable communities, nurtures healthier living conditions, and protects our planet's vital life-support systems for current and future generations. Join the webinar tomorrow at 6:30 pm IST. Register here: tinyurl.com/9fdt7ymb Speakers: Dr @StevenLawry | Abhilasha Panda | Lima Rosalind | Dr Vasanti Rao | Naveen Isarapu

@reikoshea @NjPier @rail_etc @GovKathyHochul The great majority of people from New Jersey who work in the congestion zone take public transportation. In fact, 90% of people who commute into the congestion zone take public transportation. Imagine the gridlock if they didn’t. Good grief.

Tyrants tax people for accessing their homes. You rolled out a program that taxes your constituents to literally go home. Meanwhile, under your leadership, the great State of New York leads the the nation in several categories: *Population loss *Income loss *Migrant spending *Healthcare spending per capita *Public welfare per capita *National guard members in public transit per capita *Education spending per capita *State-Local Tax Burden per Capita *Taxes Paid to Own State per Capita *Debt per Capita *Public transit fare evasion per capita *Congestion taxes and subsequent increases in cost of living per capita On top of this, violent crime in New York City hit 20+ year highs in 2024.

@SecRubio You’re capitulating to the enemy. A Secretary of State acting so brazenly against the best interests of the United States is unheard of and until now unthinkable. “The US wants peace.” Of course, but the US does not surrender to despots and enemies of freedom.

BREAKING: Trump just made a mockery of himself and the USA, when asked, "Do you have any message for Ukrainians who after 3 years of fighting might feel betrayed or disappointed about not having a seat at these initial talks in Saudi Arabia?" Trump ignorantly says, “I’m very disappointed. I hear they are upset about not having a seat. Well they had a seat for 3 years…” Are you F'ing kidding me? Putin had a seat for 3 years too. WTF does that have to do with anything? Putin owns Trump! He's so weak!

What frightening bullshit. Trump and Vance have done more to smash free speech in America than any other Administration in our lifetime. It's their plan. They know it. So they lie to cover it up. 1/ Here's their plan in a short 🧵and what we do about it.

I’ve had very intense conversations with Bobby and the White House over the weekend and even this morning. I want to thank VP JD specifically for his honest counsel. With the serious commitments I’ve received from the administration and the opportunity to make progress on the issues we agree on like healthy foods and a pro-American agenda, I will vote yes.

Judge Marva Brown released Markeeze Brazelis after he sexually assaulted a woman in the subway. After his release, Brazelis proceeded to shove an innocent New Yorker into the side of a speeding train. Common sense dictates that no judge should have the discretion to simply release anyone who sexually assaults innocent New Yorkers. But common sense has become dangerously uncommon in the NY criminal justice system.
