@skumWgmi So what's your point? He should have blown all his cash so he could call the Dave Ramsey show & be told, "You got a Ph.D. in D.U.M.B?"

My boomer uncle saved $1.2 million for retirement. - drove a 2003 Honda until it felt apart - packed his lunch everyday for 33 years - had a whole list of things he was going to do He died 2 weeks before retiring

@MurrayHillGuy1 I live in the 'burbs. People here seem to follow some unwritten rule that you have to flatten your personality and not stand out in any way. It's why I've never really fit in here.

Spent a day in the suburbs today and I finally get it now… this is the endgame?? Train OUT was 45 min delayed just to get there (should’ve been my first warning) 11:00am: friend picks me up… immediately driving everywhere like we’re in a NASCAR qualifier. 11:25am: drive 20 min to the gym just to hit the most NPC workout of all time. Not a single hot chick. Few milfs, everyone in there built like they “used to play in high school” 1:30pm: drive 16 min for coffee/lunch… line of 12 people ordering the same vanilla oat milk whatever and a sandwich 2:00pm: overhear grown adults discussing mulch, lawn patterns, and “getting into smoking meats” like it’s a personality 3:30pm: neighborhood walk = same 6 houses copy pasted 50 times, every guy power walking with his hands behind his back 5:00pm: bout to hit a Costco run like it’s Disney World. samples = main event 6:00pm: going to dinner at a chain restaurant like Olive Garden where every couple looks like they’ve had the same conversation since 2014 8:00pm: town is pitch black, everyone inside, probably scrolling and watching Netflix hating their life. Back to NYC I go. people really escape the city just to live in a loop

After blatantly telling Americans our children are retarded and our higher learning is trash (even though Indians and every other crap country demand VISAs to come here to get it) Vivek Ramaswamy's plan to reduce income tax is to close Ohio Universities. If you support this guy, you're ignorant. I said what I said.

There are a group of dudes in their 80s who meet at the Panera where I get my coffee. Everyday, without fail, they're all there by 730 am. Just talking and shooting the shit about everything from politics to sports. I've made friends with them and I learn all types of interesting shit. Two of these dudes are old enough to remember D-Day announcements on the radio. Their kids are in their 50s. Their grandkids are in their 30s. The ones who aren't widowed have been married longer than I've been alive–I'm 41. So much living. And they make sure to meet up daily. Even during the crazy snowstorms we've had.

Six years ago, Amy Acton shut down Ohio, shuttering the doors of: Schools Bars Restaurants Gyms Theaters Playgrounds Hair salons & barbershops Nail salons Museums & libraries Fitness centers Retail stores Local shops Small businesses She deemed her allies "essential" - and left the rest to fend for themselves. When we pushed back? She QUIT.

@BowTiedRanger Trump defending some radio personality is a sign of how checked out he is. He deserves to be impeached for this fiasco in the Middle East.

Aura is gone. I’m not even filled with animus at this point. Just indifference. Started retreating to just becoming a normie focused on building wealth. “Did you see Trump defend Mark Levin after underwriting another war for Israel?” “Nah, I missed it. Hey, did you know Pokemon cards have outperformed the stock market over the past 20yrs and it’s not even close?”
Cernovich@Cernovich

It’s obvious that this war won’t be wrapped up quickly. There was no government in waiting. Iran had a few tricks up its sleeve that weren’t accounted for. China will now decide the terms. We are losing aura rapidly.

Just Saw a video of a nurse who bought a Car Wash. Paid $300,000 for it, took 100% of profits for a year to pay off the loan. Now makes $4-6k a week from it working 10-15 hours a week & was able to retire from nursing career. Why aren’t more people doing this!?

NEW: Senator Lindsey Graham says "we're gonna blow the hell out of these people," claims the strikes in Iran are about to get worse. Graham: Just wait to see what comes in the next two weeks. Bartiromo: The next two weeks, meaning what? Graham: We're gonna blow the hell out of these people. This regime is in a death row now. It is gonna be on its knees.

@aruvinchan A lot of truth to that. For the longest time, I couldn't put my finger on what bugged me about the people in my neighborhood. Then one day, I realized they had no personality. And if there was any distinct personality, it wasn't in a good way.

Unpopular opinion: Middle America is a soulless dystopia. There's nothing to do (leading to a mental health crisis), the nearest city worth a damn is 4 hours away by car, even Walmart is 30 minutes away, the people are all closed-minded judgmental nosey pricks, the weather is shit, and you don't even have access to a beach... at best you get a fake beach in front of some lake. The women are fat, the old people are grumpy cunts, the infrastructure is crumbling, and the nature is vastly overrated. I've visited 49/50 states in the US, many of them multiple times; I've seen it all. The only state besides California that I would even remotely consider living in was Tennessee. There's a reason why it's so cheap in the middle of nowhere. It's because nobody wants to live there.

@anymanfitness I've been there. I smoked for several years. Tried a hundred times to quit. A major illness (not smoking related) forced me to quit for a few weeks. When I recovered, I just kept the streak going to this day, 24 years later.

Ok gang… it’s embarrassing but I have been addicted to nicotine since the age of 16. First it was dip Then it was smokes The last 10 years it’s been pouches I’ve tried to quit a dozen times. I make it through the 3 day withdrawal hell fine. Then the weekend hits and I fuck it up. I usually fuck it up when I have a beer or spirit on Saturday night. Even 1 drink amplifies the urge to use nic 100 fold and I crack. So I’m going raw for the foreseeable future. Zero artificial dopamine sources. No nic/weed/booze. I’ve never been clean of nic long enough to feel the benefits of sobriety from it. This weekend I crack the one week mark. Haven’t had any since last Saturday night. Wish me luck, and join me. F*ck that awful substance.

There are some dumb things in life but requiring employees to commute into work to sit in an office when they have a role that doesn’t require oversight or co-worker interaction might be one of the worst ideas over the last 200 years. With computers and modern day technology, there really is no reason for most people to work full time in an office setting. Hybrid or remote is the wave of the future. Sitting in a car, wasting time/gas and paying for office space is just a big gigantic waste of resources.
