I find spitting.. whether just thook or gutka/pan very disgusting.. no matter where its done in public.. even on a sports field. But I have no problems whatsoever if people halt & spit on politicians' posters & banners.. These scoundrels UGLIFY all cities with their ugly mugs..

@sneheshphilip @Viv_Krishnan Just check history books on Vietnam and see how they hit hard against these troops. What matters is will and equipment in that order.

This post is demeaning and mocks not just the officers seen in the cropped image but Indians as a whole. The average height of Indian men is around 5.8–5.9 feet, with natural variations depending on genetics and region they come from. however, height has nothing to do with courage or their military ability. History shows that some of the fiercest soldiers, from the Nagas to the Gorkhas (mostly non-veg eaters) are not the tallest and yet few enemies would wish to face them in battle. Similarly true for most Pahadis. Another example are jats, mostly vegetarians, but they are tall. Globally also, the fiercest warriors include many with shorter heights - Napoleon to name the famous. World war saw Japanese military capabilities and then the Vietnamese. While malnutrition is indeed a topic to be discussed, the tweet below is not about it but about mocking the officers.

@AmitShah498430 @mediacrooks They care about their environment and have better systems in place. Karnataka govt under triple engine was not doing anything, current govt is much better implementing roads and are generally more active if someone points something wrong unlike BJP Govts

Thats a poor reading.. Without going into what you said about India's poor manners & infra.. Saudi Arabia gets more visitors than India mainly because of the Hajj pilgrims and not because leisure tourism.. And yes, tourists avoid India like the plague.. x.com/HindolSengupta…
HindolSengupta@HindolSengupta

Saudi Arabia gets 3x the number of tourists India gets. For all our pride in our culture and history, we cannot avoid blame for being ill-mannered, and with apalling infrastructure in many places, and dirt and filth in many places. We must have the honesty to accept this.

@social_genz @meghanarasal @PatrioticSoul33 Doesn't mean if someone points out something is illegal, it is illegal everywhere, systems in the South are generally more law abiding than in the north which according to me is better. However I think it would be better if a little more humane approach was taken by both sides.

@meghanarasal @PatrioticSoul33 Why don't you go to Court and demand justice? 1000 of illegal things happening in UP and Bihar and people are being exploited. We regularly see the news. If every Law is followed there that you want perfect Law to be followed in Bengaluru?

Leaving a flat in Bangalore… and losing most of the deposit 😳 Charu Gupta shares: I was living in a 3BHK flat in Bangalore with two roommates. When we moved in, we paid a ₹70,000 security deposit. After some time, the owner suddenly asked us to vacate because he wanted to sell the flat. We agreed and moved out peacefully. But the shock came later…Out of ₹70,000, he returned only ₹18,000 🤯 He deducted one month’s rent, saying the flat would need painting and repairs, and since no one would stay during that time, he would face a loss. But how is that the tenant’s responsibility? If he had informed us earlier, we could have helped find a new tenant. On top of that, he also deducted money for damages that were already there. We had informed him about those issues earlier, and at that time he told us to get them fixed ourselves. He owns around 10 flats in Bangalore… so what does he really gain by holding back a tenant’s deposit like this? Now I’m planning to send him a legal notice. If he doesn’t respond within 15 days, I may have to take the matter to court. He has even blocked me on WhatsApp, so there’s no way to talk and resolve this directly.

I know many people miss the sound of Richie’s voice on commentary. He’s probably still widely regarded as the best tv cricket commentator. But, if Richie remains at #1, who would you put at #2? I’m genuinely interested to see who people pick. Radio commentators need not apply!

#HDFC God's own bank is wilting? When skeletons begin to emerge - and skeletons take years to emerge - the consequences are geometric. The Chairman's exit at HDFC is simply a release valve for built-up methane over the years. The longer the truth is suppressed to protect the "system," the bigger the fallout. "God’s own bank" is showing its age. HDFC is a systemically important bank, and the powers that be should do all that they can to contain the damage. #HDFCBank #Investing #nifty #banknifty

Stories and facts will keep emerging But HDFC has far far more hidden skeletons that what it's lovers are ready to believe These skeletons might take a few qtrs or years to emerge But banking is Math - these eventually will And I sincerely hope I am wrong in this hypothesis
