Has there been a huge vibe shift in CT over the last 2 weeks, or was that just me selling the last of my ETH

@SenRickScott @sundarpichai This issue has been fixed. Post-fire imagery is rolling out again now across Google Maps and Earth. For context: This technical issue was triggered by a recent, routine update to satellite imagery, which accidentally restored old imagery from before the fires.

@SalsaTekila Same but the unlock for me is actually the mindset I have when using it, which is to not to seek perfection and be comfy with iterating. I treat each big project as an experiment with no fear of needing to start again if needed. Cost of errors are basically zero.

When I build stuff with Claude, 5% of the work is the idea, 5% is writing the prompt, and 90% is reading and answering questions, because I always ask: "Ask me questions until you are 100% sure what I want, do not make guesses." Am I doing it right?

i mean what an insane story. meta’s $2B acquisition is now dead: -> March 2025: Manus launches AI agent -> 2M waitlist in 7 days, invite codes reselling for $1400 each (i tried to buy one lol) -> relocates from Beijing to Singapore to escape chinese authorities -> hits $90M revenue run-rate -> December 2025: Meta buys it for $2B 4x markup in 8 months. -> March 2026: china stops Manus co-founders from leaving the country -> today: china blocks Meta from acquiring them china clearly see’s AI as a geopolitical weapon and is not willing to yield anything to the USA this probably why they’re refusing to use nvidia chips instead pushing huawei etc truly nuts

Just a reminder that a developer built non-custodial crypto software and asked a federal court to declare he could operate without registering as a money transmitter. The court dismissed it, saying there was no real threat of prosecution. Meanwhile, Roman Storm was convicted for the same type of non-custodial crypto software.

Google's Quantum AI team used @SuccinctLabs zkVM SP1 for responsible disclosure of a new SOTA quantum algorithm. Their paper presents a 20x more efficient implementation of Shor's algorithm for cracking secp256k1 keys: the elliptic curve used by Bitcoin and Ethereum. They believe the attack is so dangerous that instead of publishing the circuits, they instead published a ZKP that the circuits exist. I wonder if ZK proof of exploit becomes a broader theme in vulnerability disclosures going forward.

@phtevenstrong @TrustlessState It's not an either/or, we can focus on both things. I think giving people a pass for being crazy because {some big org made me do it} seems like a slippery slope. But agree none the less with your point.

I'm saying we should focus on the causes to stifle it. Its causes include the NGOs, religious organizations, and government programs that incentivize the migration from non-western nations en masse into western nations. Also, the things that cause refugee crises (like interventionalist wars in non-western nations) are also a major cause. So limiting those would also limit the migration. If you truly are passionate about stopping it, I would not understand why you would be against me on this.

day 1 working with an OpenClaw bot as a founder / employee inside discord inspired by @nateliason my bot has flashes of pure brilliance, but kinda flaky. the craziest thing is how he'll tell me he absolutely learned his lesson not do a thing, then an hour later he does the thing again also...i'm having a hard time getting him to ship things. like he's always sandbagging me. it's exhausting but at the same time incredible, because he'll have these flashes of insight or he'll build something cool and i'll see the potential again and want to keep working with him

@drjasper_eth I guess im just not seeing what use cases there are outside of payments, finance & shared state? DAOs - payments to contributors or shared state of protocol changes Funding mechanisms - payments Prediction markets - finance Identity - shared state Is anything missing?

OH: Ethereum should embrace itself as the finance, payment & shared state of the open source world And shift away general purpose, smart contract platform A less ambitious framing, but also a more focused one. For eg privacy is key for finance, payments & shared state

@buythedipagain @DCinvestor @openclaw I agree with everything you say. But eventually that hammer will be a Swiss army knife. You will tell it to connect two things together and it will decide if it needs a screwdriver, hammer, or glue. The human will not need to know the google-fu commands...

@DCinvestor @openclaw don't get me wrong. LLMs are awesome for some tasks. but not every problem is a nail if the only tool you know (llm) is a hammer. most normies never were able to properly use google. how many of your friends use special google-fu tags or advanced search? most likely 5%

there were loads of people in my mentions a week or two ago saying @openclaw was overhyped and didn’t do anything which existing tools didn’t already do it’s now likely one of the fastest growing open source projects in history the moral of the story is we are in a part of the change curve where things can happen faster and more radically than ever, and you need to be willing to adapt your priors extremely quickly to have any chance at guessing where things will go

Not done any work here (probably should). But if tether is supposedly a “stable” coin and yet is buying Gold (as some reports have indicated) and gold prices are straight up like a rocket, how then is tether “stable”? What happens if gold falls?
SwanDesk@SwanDesk

BREAKING: Tether tumbles to $0.9980, its weakest peg in over 5 years. Some analysts warn a full untethering could hit soon, which could cripple the crypto market, as 87%+ of trading volume flows through USDT.
