@kmangtfoh @AlcoAmour @PaiRaveen Exactly. Unnecessary times waste at many stations for crossing and they are getting delayed Mangaluru or Mumbai. Have one stop at karwar and udupi for mangluru-mumbai trains. That's enough.

@AlcoAmour @PaiRaveen And pls spare that 2-3 hours wasted propaganda here. VB will take barely 15 minutes to enter and exit MAJN with a halt and even that can be adjusted against the slow crawl it would take via Padil bypass and reducing slack bw TOK MAO(removing OT by 2134 as proposed)

The flagship Vande Bharat from Bengaluru to Madgaon is being planned to bypass Mangalore completely, no halt at Mangaluru Jn or Central 🤡 Meanwhile, Namma Kudla: 2nd highest GDP contributor in Karnataka 🤡 2nd per capita income in the state 🤡 Only major port in Karnataka 🤡 Massive supplier of IT talent & emerging "Silicon Beach" hub 🤡

Respected @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji, Instead of skipping Mangaluru, please run Bengaluru–Mangaluru Vande Bharat and synchronize it with the existing Mangaluru–Goa Vande Bharat. A simple timing adjustment can benefit thousands of passengers. #SaveMangaluru #VandeBharatExpress
Deekshith shettigar@shettigarster

Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji, Since a Vande Bharat already runs from Mangaluru Central to Goa, kindly introduce the new Vande Bharat from Bengaluru to Mlr Central and align timings for seamless connectivity to Goa. This ensures better utilization & pasnger convenience. @CaptBrijesh

Our Stand to Protect Train No. 16575/16576 Gomateshwara Express – The Lifeline of Coastal Karnataka The proposal to reschedule Train No. 16576 Mangaluru Junction–Yesvantpur Gomateshwara Express, which currently departs from Mangaluru Junction at 07:00 AM, is a direct attack on the travel convenience of lakhs of passengers across Coastal and Interior Karnataka. This train is not just another daily service; it is the most reliable and people-friendly day connection between Dakshina Kannada, Hassan district and Bengaluru. Any attempt to disturb this well-established morning timing merely to accommodate a new Vande Bharat service is completely unjustified and against public interest. Why the Current Schedule is Non-Negotiable: At present, the 07:00 AM departure from Mangaluru Junction ensures that passengers reach Yesvantpur around 4:30 PM (16:30 hrs). This schedule is the primary reason why this train consistently runs with full capacity. It enables passengers to reach Bengaluru safely before nightfall and settle in. If the train is pushed to a late noon departure, passengers will be forced to reach Bengaluru close to midnight, creating serious problems of safety, last-mile transport, and accommodation. The Only Convenient Day Option: We wish to highlight that Gomateshwara Express is currently the only convenient day train running between the Mangaluru-Bengaluru section. It serves a critical gap that no other train fills. Altering the timing of this solitary dependable service would deprive the public of their only viable daytime connectivity, causing severe inconvenience to the entire region. Backbone for Employees, Workers & The Economy: Apart from long-distance travelers, Gomateshwara Express is the lifeline for daily wage workers, government employees, small traders and private-sector employees. A large number of people from Puttur, Subrahmanya, and Hassan use this train to travel to Bengaluru for employment and official work. The current 7 AM departure allows them to reach the city by evening and report to work the very next morning, effectively saving an entire working day. If rescheduled to late noon, arrival shifts to midnight, wasting the next morning and forcing passengers to spend extra on hotels and transport. Rescheduling will disrupt the livelihoods of thousands who have planned their jobs and budgets around this fixed affordable timetable. Crucial Connectivity for Hassan & Interior Karnataka: The present schedule is also extremely beneficial for passengers from Hassan and the interior regions. Reaching Hassan Junction at 12:45 PM and departing towards Yesvantpur jN at 12:55PM, it forms a perfectly balanced daytime connectivity pattern, complementing Hassan Jn-Yesvantpur Jn Intercity and Mysuru Jn-Yesvantpur Jn Express. Working professionals and students from the Hassan region rely on this specific mid-day slot. Disturbing it will break a carefully balanced connectivity ecosystem. Crucial Connectivity for Tumakuru, Mandya districts also! This train is also a vital developmental artery for the interior districts of Tumakuru and Mandya, providing essential connectivity that must not be severed. It is a crucial link for the people of Kunigal, a rapidly growing town, who rely on this service for daily connectivity. Furthermore, thousands of devotees visiting the famous Sri Siddalingeshwara Swamy Temple at Yediyur depend on this train's convenient daytime schedule. Similarly, the train serves as the primary mode of transport for students, faculty, and patients visiting the renowned Adichunchanagiri University and Medical College at B.G. Nagar. Disturbing the schedule will sever this essential link for pilgrims, students, and rural passengers in these districts who have limited express train connectivity. A Lifeline for Patients & Pilgrims: This train is a medical lifeline for hundreds of patients traveling from coastal towns to Bengaluru for advanced treatment. The current 7 AM timing allows them to reach by evening and attend appointments early the next morning. A late noon departure would force sick passengers to arrive at midnight, an unsafe and exhausting proposition. Furthermore, the train supports tourism in the Western Ghats; pushing it to evening would mean traversing the scenic Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya ghats in darkness, rendering the Vistadome coaches useless. Disappointment Regarding Mangaluru Central Extension: While persistent efforts are ongoing to extend this train to Mangaluru Central (MAQ) to better serve the city's heart, this proposed change comes as a rude shock. Passengers have been eagerly waiting for the extension of the existing service to Mangaluru Central, which would have been a progressive step. Instead, the move to push the schedule to an inconvenient time is truly disappointing. It feels like instead of upgrading a popular service, the administration is dismantling it. Conclusion: Any proposal to reschedule Gomateshwara Express is being casually projected as a small operational change, but in reality, it will have a serious impact on thousands of genuine passengers. The present 7:00 AM timing has been functioning perfectly for years, running at full occupancy because it fits the public's needs. Our demand is clear: New trains like Vande Bharat are welcome, but not at the cost of existing essential services. We sincerely request Hon’ble Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw sir, @VSOMANNA_BJP sir, @RailMinIndia, @SWRRLY, @GMSRailway to NOT change the existing timing of Train No. 16575/16576. Decisions affecting common passengers must be taken with the welfare of the majority in mind. -Team Dakshina Kannada District Railway Users @CaptBrijesh @Tejasvi_Surya @ShobhaBJP @PCMohanMP @VSOMANNA_BJP @Jaggesh2 @hd_kumaraswamy #SaveGomateshwaraExpress #JusticeForMangaluru #SiliconBeachOfIndia #SaveCoastalConnectivity

Citizens urge to build a railway terminal at Yeladka near Kaniyoor as the current station lacks expansion space. Yeladka has ample land for technical facilities and can effectively decongest Mangaluru. We request @SWRRLY,@VSOMANNA_BJP and @CaptBrijesh to prioritize this demand.

🚆 Strengthening Mangaluru’s Rail Connectivity – A Step Towards Becoming Karnataka’s Second IT Capital Mangaluru is fast emerging as Karnataka’s Second IT Capital and a major hub for education, business, and innovation. However, for this growth to be sustainable, the city needs strong, modern and seamless rail connectivity linking it with the rest of the state and the nation. Here are some key points we would like to highlight for the attention of Railway authorities and policymakers 👇 1️⃣ Better connectivity with Bengaluru – India’s IT, Silicon & State Capital Mangaluru and Bengaluru must be connected through faster, more frequent train services. ➡️ A Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru and Bengaluru is the need of the hour to reduce travel time and improve comfort for business travellers, students and tourists. ➡️ More intercity and overnight express trains should be introduced to ensure timely and reliable service between both cities. 2️⃣ Improved connectivity with Mumbai – India’s Commercial Capital ➡️ Introduce a clone train for Train No. 12619/20 Matsyagandha Express, which runs full throughout the year. ➡️ Extend the Mangaluru Central–Madgaon Vande Bharat Express up to CSMT Mumbai, ensuring a high-speed coastal business corridor that links Karnataka’s coast with India’s financial capital. 3️⃣ Metro / Suburban Services within Mangaluru & Coastal Belt With the city expanding rapidly, urban and suburban rail services are essential to decongest roads and improve daily commuting. ➡️ Launch Metro or Suburban trains on these key routes:  • Mudipu – Mangaluru – Udupi  • Mangaluru – Puttur  • Mangaluru – Talapady / Kasaragod These will benefit thousands of IT employees, students, and industrial workers travelling daily across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. 4️⃣ Track Doubling & Capacity Enhancement ➡️ Expedite doubling of tracks between Mangaluru – Subrahmanya Road – Hassan Junction to improve train speed and punctuality. ➡️ Complete doubling between Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction, which will ease congestion and allow more services to operate smoothly. 5️⃣ Dedicated Connectivity to the National Capital ➡️ Resume Train No. 16687/88 Mangaluru Central – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Navyug Express via Hassan and Miraj. This will restore direct connectivity between Mangaluru and New Delhi, benefiting passengers travelling to northern India for work, education, and pilgrimage. 6️⃣ Infrastructure Modernization ➡️ Develop Mangaluru Central into a World-Class Railway Station with modern passenger facilities, digital systems and seamless multimodal integration. ➡️ Utilize the Bunder yard area by developing it into a coaching depot and maintenance shed with pit and stabling lines. This will allow maintenance operations to be shifted from Mangaluru Central, creating more platforms and space for future train originations from both Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction. 7️⃣ Recommission Farangipete Station ➡️ Reopen Farangipete Station as a halt station for local passenger trains. This will greatly benefit students and employees from nearby institutions such as Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Canara Engineering College, Expert and Srinivas University situated along the east-side corridor of Mangaluru. 8️⃣ More Train Services Across Karnataka ➡️ Introduce new train services from Mangaluru to various cities of Karnataka like Hubballi, Belagavi, Mysuru, Davanagere, Ballari,Hospete and Bidar, ensuring balanced growth and improved coastal–inland connectivity. For Mangaluru to truly achieve the vision of becoming Karnataka’s Second IT Capital, robust rail infrastructure is essential connecting the coast to the state and national capitals, enabling efficient commuting, boosting the local economy and creating new opportunities for growth. We kindly request @CaptBrijesh sir, @VSomanna_BJP sir and @AshwiniVaishnaw sir to kindly take note of these long-pending railway requirements and support the development of Mangaluru as Karnataka’s Second IT Capital by improving its rail connectivity, infrastructure, and regional accessibility for the people of coastal Karnataka. #Mangaluru #RailConnectivity #BeyondBengaluru #SiliconBeachofIndia #BacktoOoru
