@Rach_IC Interesting. I have one of those things that has a sensor outside so you can see the temp inside. I don't have a regular thermometer.

I don't know why your thermometer is showing a higher temp? Here is a screenshot of mine. I actually bought a second thermometer just to make sure mine isn't broken, but it always shows a couple of degrees cooler (I can't currently find it, knowing me I probably gave it to a friend). My thermometer is currently showing 87.5 degrees on my balcony in commie central Phoenix.

@Rach_IC 90? That doesn't seem possible. Currently 108 at 7pm at my house in the NE Valley.

I live in commie central Phoenix, which is about the hottest part of Phoenix (other than airports). My thermometer on my balcony is showing 90 degrees. That is 25 DEGREES LOWER THAN THESE ALERTS!!!!! The climate change alarmists have delved into insanity at this point. Grok told me this is what the temperature in Phoenix currently is: An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the area due to the very hot conditions.Around 115°F (46°C) in Phoenix, AZ, as of about 5:00 PM MST on July 24, 2026.weather.govOfficial observations from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX, National Weather Service) show: 5:00 PM MST: 115°F, partly cloudy/clear skies, humidity ~14%, dew point 55°F, heat index 113°F, light winds.weather.gov Recent readings in the prior hour ranged from about 115–117°F.weather.govOther sources align closely (AccuWeather ~46°C / 115°F sunny; Weather.com around 116–118°F as of ~5 PM).accuweather.com
Data Please@Datapleaz

@Rach_IC So even @wunderground which has an accurate temperature at my house deletes history. I don't need a small airport 10 miles from my neighborhood where the temp can be 4-6 degrees higher. All the official @NWSPhoenix official places are airports and places where it's hot.

UPDATE Buddy is finally home. ❤️ His surgery went well, and the surgeon said he did so well that he doesn’t even need to see our regular vet this morning. That was wonderful news to hear. For the next 10 days, he’ll be wearing the Cone of Shame, staying confined to a small room or crate so he can heal properly, taking medicine twice a day, and thankfully he can continue eating his regular wet food. We’re relieved to have our little guy back where he belongs I want to sincerely thank everyone who prayed, checked on him, sent kind messages, and understood why this was such a big deal to us. To those who love your dogs like family, you understand exactly what these last several hours have felt like. Now it’s time for Buddy to rest, heal, and let us spoil him a little while he recovers. 🐾❤️

@JaniceDean Same situation as the mortgage that was approved for everyone then they cracked down. Our last mortgage app. (2018?) We both had the same job for decades. But we had to send our pay stubs every 2 weeks during the process to make sure we didn't suddenly quit our jobs 🤬

@JaniceDean I have a family story but I'll skip it for now. Bottom line is that during the 2008 crisis or whatever they are calling it now... People who couldn't find jobs just applied and got approved for disability payments. So now it's more difficult for deserving people.

I have enjoyed the interaction with all of you today. This disability insurance topic is incredibly concerning, and as a person going through it right now, I want to make sure others are aware, and know you are not alone! I have lots more to say, and I’ll keep posting! 😘

@CaryKelly11 I do this all the time. There's always a marked down roast in my grocery store. Half the price of already ground beef. I have the grinder attachment for my KitchenAid so it's really easy.

Want quality, half price ground beef from a single animal with no pink slime or weird additives? You can even pick it out. Shop the sales and when you see roasts on sale, you can take them home and grind them up in your food processor or if you ask nicely, your meat department guy or butcher might grind it up for you. This BOGO sale makes freshly cut London broil costs exactly half the price of this 85% lean prepacked stuff that probably originated in Brazil. The London Broil is also certified Angus and that means it must pass 10 strict specifications, including must have been harvested from an animal less than 30 months old, had fair to decent marbling and no deep bruising. You can also do this with chuck roasts, bottom round or sirloin. Just remember this for fat ratios: Chuck = 80% lean Top or bottom round (aka London) = 85% Sirloin = 90% If you don't have a grinding attachment for your food processor, simply cut your roast up into nickel sized pieces and grind them in your food processor in small amounts. It totally works! I've even done this with deboned short ribs.

Twenty-five years ago we started with our first biomedical doctor for my son who regressed in development & started suffering from a host of medical issues right after his MMR & VARIVAX vaccines at 12 months. Our first, a pediatrician in Florida turned Biomed doctor after his own son regressed into autism after HE HIMSELF gave his son the MMR. Our sons were both five years old at the time. Over the years, we have worked with other doctors & most have been parents of children with "autism". We are now on number SEVEN. We've worked with a gastroenterologist for a decade & two neurologists after tonic clonic seizures started almost ten years ago. Now, looking for an epileptologist as my son's seizures are not controlled with medication. And they're scary. I never saw anyone have a seizure until he had his first. They are violent & terrifying. And I constantly worry is he going to be ok after? Will he be himself? He's experienced years and years of medical testing- too much to even share. Stints in hospitals for gut or seizure related problems. My son is 30 years old. For some "autism" doesn't get easier as they age. Someone told me that once. 🙄 AUTISM IS MEDICAL. REPEAT. AUTISM IS MEDICAL. And I am angry about the "journey" we've been put on with little to no help & guidance. Parents are forced to figure things out on their own. And judged mercilessly for even discussing what goes on with their children. See my pinned post. You'll get it. I'm very grateful for all the doctors who have helped us along the way. Most, as I said had a child affected so they get it. They live it. I don't know what parents would do without them. I know these unlucky children of ours are readily put on psych meds for all their "behaviors" cause by undiagnosed medical issues & an inability to communicate. Such a crime. The whole thing.

The great staff of the Department of Commerce surprised me with a 65th birthday celebration today. Thoughtful and totally fun and funny gifts. From a fact sheet from the day of my birth - New York was the most populous state, now it’s number 5. To a “ design patent” on my signature cross arm photo pose. I’m incredibly grateful for this impressive team. Serving America alongside them is the privilege of a lifetime.

@AZJohnnyC Wow I looked that up on the Secretary of State website. You can't take a picture in the 75 ft. I didn't know that. (I did learn years ago that I could wear my Let's Go Brandon T-shirt to vote) So of course I wore it😂 This is in Arizona. Your state may vary.

3 years after Matthew Perna took his own life, the FBI agent who originally interviewed him and arrested him (after he turned himself in) showed up at my brother's house holding the clothing Matthew was wearing on January 6. He couldn't take the clothing to Matthew's Dad, because he died earlier that year, a brokenhearted father. Instead, he went to Matthew's uncle's house holding these clothes. My brother didn't know what to say. He was speechless; he stood there and cried. He called me and told me what happened. I pulled out the box of paperwork on Matthew's case and started going page by page to find that FBI agent's name. I called the Pittsburgh office and left a message. He called me back later that day. I asked him why, after 3 years, he felt the need to open that wound any deeper by returning those clothes? He told me that his supervisor assigned him to that task, since he was the one who arrested Matthew. I told him how hurtful that was, and told him how everything played out after he arrested Matthew. He told me that he was sorry. He told me that he really "liked" Matthew and felt bad about his death. He also told me that he didn't think that he would have been facing so many years in prison for basically misdemeanors. I was crying at this point. I told him that he played a role in all of this. He kept saying how sorry he was, and he started to cry too. I told him that if he truly felt that way, maybe working with the FBI wasn't for him. I told him to search his soul and think about a new career. I have these clothes now. My brother couldn't bear to look at them. I hate them, and everything about them. But I will keep them as a reminder that freedom of speech only applies to the elites, not the peasants.

I had a situation this afternoon. I was feeling so strong and well that I decided to haul out my hedge trimmer and extention cord to trim this one shrub that really needed it. I've done it many times. Usually a 10 minute job all in. Well, I did the trimming then bent over to pick up the trimmings, Then I did something I knew better than to do. I got down on my haunches. My butt was like 2" from the ground. I reached for one hold out cutting and kind of keeled over sideways into the VERY hot 1/4" stones. It was about 100 out, didn't have water or my phone with me (I know, I know) ... so there I am on my side wondering how I was going to manage to get up. I have virtually no upper body strength, so the only thing I could do was to try to get up on my knees so that I could put my hands down and lift myself that way. I must have tried 35 times. I couldn't do it. At midday on hundred degree days, no one's outside doing anything (except for me, of course). So I said a bunch of prayers and repeatedly could not manage to get up. I was in full son and SO thirsty. After about 20 minutes struggling and failing, I started calling "Help!" repeatedly, though I was pretty sure no one would hear me. More prayers, more failed attempts. Starting to panic a bit. I was out there in full sun for an hour. Then, my prayers were answered, and my across the street neighbor showed up - he's a big man and was able to hoist me up. I was so wobbly - every time he tried to let go of me, it was clear that I would probably fall. So I asked him if he could please walk me to the door, which he did. Then I imposed further and asked if he would be kind enough to go into my house and bring me out water. He did. About 2 hours later I was sitting here feeling unwell. Took my blood oxygen and heart rate after 2 hours rest, and they were 85 and 132. Yikes!. As much as I hated to, I called my hospice nurse and she said she'd head to my house immediately which she did. I'm o oxygen now and she made me promise to do the nebulizer and to try to sleep with the oxygen all night. She listened to my lungs and she heart some "crackles" in lower left one (NOT GOOD),I had a slight fever. She must have taken my BP 6 times. She said she'd be back to check on me tomorrow too. I was scared, folks. But I feel so much better now, and I'm so happy that I called my nurse. I trust the Lord, and with your continued prayers I'll be up and at 'em and back at the poker table soon! Thinking positive thoughts!

A cocky lawyer tells a country boy, If you can't answer my question, you owe me $5. If I can't answer yours, I owe you $5,000. The boy asks: "What has three legs going up a hill, but five legs coming down?" The lawyer searches the internet for an hour, gives up, and hands the boy $5,000. " Alright, the lawyer snaps, So what is it? The boy silently hands the lawyer $5 and goes back to sleep.
