$ASTS We have some risk in this NG3 launch. If they can launch a used booster successfully and land successfully etc. etc.
To take the focus off this risk, it would be great if @AST_SpaceMobile can do some kind of corporate PR to talk about production updates so the market doesn’t crush the stock should anything go wrong here.
It is a first for Blue Origin when it comes to reusing a booster so the learning curve is still very steep.

For #spaceweather we're currently exiting a (+) polarity coronal hole high-speed-stream that didn't do much, and another repeat LARGE coronal hole is starting to appear on the eastern (right) limb of the Sun

The global seismic burst we were in has cooled off and now global seismic activity is at low levels for the last five days or so. Only a single M5.0+ earthquake for the last 24 hours. Large coronal holes will be back and Earth-facing in ~10 days, and I suspect earthquake activity is likely to pick up around then

My father was the one who sent in the axe. We were having lunch a couple weeks ago and he was telling me about this "battle axe" he made and that he felt strongly that God told him to send it to Alex Jones, which honestly sounded a little strange to me at first, but I told him if he honestly thought God told him to do that, he should definitely do it. Then I see this today.....pretty cool TBH.

Sorry but you are getting a very long answer.
Depending on how you look at it, the comet is in the sun's atmosphere now, and so are we. Just as earth's exosphere extends almost all the way out to the magnetosphere, so does the plasma environment of the sun go to the heliosphere.
There is a distance of ~several million kilometers above the sun where scientists generally agree that the corona "stops" but it's based on a choice they made, a random one. The comet is going to skim only about 100,000km above the surface, so it's going to blaze right through the atmosphere (corona) of the sun.
As for surface impact... that is unlikely. Orbital math is damn good at this small distances of "inside the solar system", it's one thing scientists got right - even if it breaks down at quantum and relative scales.
One could further abstract the idea by noting that the sun's surface is in dispute... is it the chromosphere? The photosphere? Something below? Robitaille's lattice layers? Nobody knows!!!! If that is the case, what "hitting the sun" means becomes a bigger question than if a comet is on track to impact.
