@TheLAPurchaser No one taking it seriously but perhaps globalism. New York is the bleeding edge on planet Earth. NYT part of that in a weird way… (TSM is a bet on globalism in a way)

At this rate, Dems are going to have 275 seats in the house after the midterms.

@GaetenD Cmon Gaeten, no other country is held to this standard. Iran is one of if not the largest state sponsors of terrorism in the world. And allowing them to have a nuclear weapon could have catastrophic consequences. If they were antagonizing any other country, diff response seen

When I moved to new york, I found it hard to visualize what commute times actually looked like. The same dilemma occurs every time you move, or even book a hotel: what's actually accessible in 20 minutes of public transit? Deployment link below

The man who rammed his truck into a Michigan synagogue on Thursday had four family members who were killed in an airstrike in Lebanon the week before, a Lebanese official and a Michigan imam said. nyti.ms/4cM3BOq

$STM. Nice series of tailwinds here >cyclical trough, capex down by half, revs down 40%, 15pt of GM lost post EV bust. Company shutting down some old shitty factories will provide a lift to GMs alone, lead times stabilized, inventories cleaner as per rest of analog >IDM so you'll get a natural rip as utilization recovers with price. >half the biz is Auto/Industrials, which I do believe will continue to recover. STM32 ecosystem is stable, 1.5m devs. >25% Personal electronics which is challenged, however 17.7% of revs is Apple, which I believe will massively outperform other consumer hardware >Ramping Crolles PIC100 photonics Foundry build out w/ GFS, 1.6T capable to potentially supply large hyperscale customer needs direct. Built with 2b of Europes Chip Act money >15% is power semis SiC/GaN needed for 800v Archs. Compact, performant packages, named ecosystem partner with NVDA. Company guiding $230m SAM per GW of compute. $1b total AI exposure in 27. 17x 27 numbers. People never get the cyclical part of margin recovery correct and BBG has 39% by 28, will be faster than that. Biggest swing is if the industrial/auto recovery can sustain. Definitely big upside to numbers from the photonics exposure and power, which will pretty well come together. Hard to know where GTC design wins land, but expectations here are lower than IFX for sure. Prolonged higher gas prices may bring some renewed interest in EVs and give a boost in sentiment if that can flow through to delivery numbers NT

@OnlyInBOS Wouldn't tapping it crack it? That sea water is on top of it. Can you drain it without rupturing it? I suspect not.

They just confirmed a massive freshwater reservoir off the coast of Massachusetts. Possibly 20,000 years old. Big enough to supply NYC for 800 years. There’s literally a hidden ocean of fresh water beneath the Atlantic. livescience.com/planet-earth/r…

@mweinbach Ok, I will try it - the Obsidian with Titanium SuperKnit Luxe band is free and if I get a year for $359 free from Chase, why not? But I'm guessing I cancel before year 2 starts billing.

I'm pretty long $DIS now. Been in LO purg for years basically other than Trian. Iger stabilized the biz and catalyst path for 26 looks great >right guy to take over, parks is, and will remain the future of the co. Likely get an AD by summers end, prob bagged the guide for him. Looks like other talent will stay. Bad talent like Kennedy out the door. Woke is dead, and if an activist was to step in, prob next 6m >Studio on a heater with Zootopia/Avatar doing well. Fat slate in 2H Avengers back after a good breather, Mandolorian as well. 2027 has Frozen and Avengers finale. TS 5 and new pixar IP in 1H >new capacity in Paris with Frozen, new ship for Asia with 6,000 capacity, new rides for 26. 27 new 11 acre Tropical Americas. Medium term huge expansion of capacity and fresher content >Corporate action still in play here. Spinning out TV/Sports would probably work for both newco and remain co honestly >Sports will stabilize as they clean up the offering, price hikes prob coming, but will be given headroom by NFLX to continue to raise price Think it is all coming together here honestly for a mid-teens multiple without the AI uncertainty/headwinds. Still think park is undermonetized due to capacity issues, and room to add many more luxury perks/experiences. The regular park pass will look more and more like a Basic Economy seat on a plane

Autonomous Snow Blower Update: The @yarboglobal completed the first pass of the driveway and went back to the charging dock. After about 1.25hrs, it will be 80% charged and will automatically return and continue to clear the driveway. I plan to run it during the entirety of the storm and will post my review video on @stateofcharge this week. So far, it's kicking A$$!

$JCI on Jensen Comments: "We’re aware of the comments made at CES regarding liquid cooling and reference designs for next-generation chips, as well as the broader industry discussion that’s followed. We can’t comment on specific customer technologies, their design assumptions, or any potential business implications. Datacenter cooling strategies vary widely by operator, system architecture, density requirements, and site-level conditions. Different approaches—including air, liquid, and hybrid solutions—can coexist depending on customer design choices. And even with increased use of liquid cooling at the rack or server level, heat ultimately still needs to be rejected from the facility. Operators use a range of technologies to accomplish that, and the mix deployed depends on the site and overall thermal management design. We’ll share additional perspective on the datacenter landscape and cooling approaches during our upcoming earnings call."
