there is, basically, one writer on twitter I know of who is: - philosophically inclined - violently experienced - living on some kind of frontier - focused on reproduction and state building (and I believe has six? kids)

@simonsarris @johncollins60 Simon why not replace the chooks with ducks then ? Or are you just done and need a break? I have quail, they are pretty cool - I dont let them free range though

@TMustafarian @johncollins60 I've had both and ducks are better in every way EXCEPT 1. they need water to groom (this is fine) 2. they are dumb as BRICKS. you might think chickens are dumb but chickens are merely midwit birds. Ducks are dumb. You have to herd them back to shelter every single night.

Biggest lesson of 2025 was that trying to make a large ornamental garden and have free-range chickens is completely insane, counter productive

@johncollins60 @simonsarris Hahaha, I like this. My friend had a pet drake when we were growing up, he had alot of personality good memories - so not really an effective replacement if you are in a suburban area and prioritise egg production?

@TMustafarian @simonsarris They're loud, their eggs taste worse and they don't produce many, they're dumb, they don't tolerate many environments, they're messy, they stink, they eat a lot, they're kinda mean. But you can befriend a duck, can't befriend a chicken.

@simonsarris Seriously though whats the solution to this ? Seems cruel to keep them in their pen 24/7 and it cant be stopped. Just have a designated area ? Someone mentioned ducks?

"Some gay loser" 🤣
.@hsdks__772

@Mr_Husky1 All these answers are wrong, it’s because in a lot of places you can receive a ticket for parking on your own grass. My neighbor got rid of his entire lawn for this exact reason, some gay loser reported him for parking on his own grass

@minordissent The reformation ushered in modernity and most of what people think of when they think of western excellence.

Personally I think that Catholics and Orthodox should see Protestantism as enemy number one. Luther and the Reformation deconstructed everything that made Christianity stable, functional, and memetically secure. The West's moral and ethical decline and the subsequent postmodern crisis can be traced back directly to the slippery slope the Reformation set in motion. By removing the church hierarchy, abandoning centuries of philosophical refinement, letting the retarded masses interpret the bible themselves, making salvation just about faith, etc, Christianity became completely untethered and this led to rampant ideological mutation. Now there are thousands of sects which call themselves Christian but only retain like 10% of what that meant for over a thousand years. Choosing your denomination is basically like choosing your outfit. It's no longer about molding you to satisfy Christ's preferences but about choosing which version of Christ suits the preferences you already have. And then of course there is the fact that these security holes prevented Protestantism from fending off the Enlightenment, such that all Christian's effectively operate on Enlightenment metaphysics now, which makes Christianity logically incoherent, which led to most intelligent people abandoning it entirely, which led to the creation and subsequent mass adoption of its deformed bastard child Progressivism, which has since one shotted all the women and gentle men. Saying that we need to go back to 1980s or 1950s or 1900s or even 1700s is like saying we need to go back to the Titanic after it hit the iceberg but before it sank. The iceberg was the Reformation. And the ideology which says the iceberg was good actually is definitely not an "ally" just because they say they agree with your objective of preventing the ship from sinking.

@minordissent You ain’t got time to worry abt Epstein but you have time to worry about other Christians. Yo just read the Bible my dude.

@Empty_America For Christians especially it is too much to ask healthy people to be celibate beyond that age. The urges need satiating at some point

It is quite true that most women can marry at 30 and theoretically have 4+ children. It is also true that every sub-group on earth retaining replacement plus fertility "dissents" from the modern late marriage norm, and validates marriage at 18-21. The Pattern is very Clear. Some have been deceived by the fact that the primary issue appears to be social. There appear to be extensive second and third order effects of female marriage age, with later marriage leading to low fertility for reasons that aren't necessarily related to physical fertility at all.

@BOMSquadLeader @Empty_America Yes since the 1500’s, when fertility rates were much higher. The earliest ages for marriage in that recorded history is in the modern era (the 1950’s baby boom). Prior to that it was firmly in the mid 20’s

Cleopatra (1963) cost so much it nearly sunk 20th Century Fox. What started as a $2M movie exploded into a $44M epic, forcing the studio to sell off land just to stay afloat.
