Our bin store & cleanliness have been ongoing issues, but with new cladding, balconies, and lifts, we stayed quiet. Silence was golden, until now. Both lifts are broken again in a building marked high fire risk with a simultaneous evacuation order. Some of us can’t evacuate. ♿️

I live in one of the 112 high-rise buildings in London that the @LondonFire felt appropriate to remove the stay-put advice due to fire safety concerns. This shift in policy highlights the urgent need for Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) @InclusionLondon

At this month's meeting we were joined remotely by officers from Harrow Council's Private Rented Sector Enforcement Team. Tenants asked them tough questions.
As far as we know, Harrow Healthy Homes is the only forum in which officers are being held accountable in this way. 🧵

Just to add some visual context to this I’m on the 3rd floor and the fire lift is my only evacuation route I can’t be taken out using evac chair etc and yet @LondonFire and @MetTVH @lambeth_council say oh no nothing we can do

There have been teething issues with our two new lifts, but one outage at a time. We have been understanding & not posted. But tenants were horrified to find both lifts out of service yesterday (the hottest day of the year) & again today, denying fair access & departure. @MetTVH

As you can hear in this video drilling during the night is loud and unbearable. Disturbing sleep, interrupting everyone, affecting work and lifestyle. We wrote to @MetTVH and this was their response. 🙆🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

One of the residents in our building challenged the workers when they began drilling and this was the response. @harrowonline @EddieNestorMBE @hayleytclarke @DavidLammy @FoxNikkiFox @ShadiaED @claddag We found out that authorisation was never given for these works.
