Local Muslims are offering namaz inside the thousand-year-old mandir complex in Kasmandi, Malihabad. Meat and fish markets have been set up right around the ancient Shiva temple. Encroachments are increasing day by day. A memorandum has been sent to the UP government demanding immediate protection. No action yet. This site belongs to Raja Kans Pasi and Maharaja Lakhan Pasi, Dalit warrior kings who fought and defeated a medieval Islamic invasion led by Syed Salar Masud Ghazi in this region. They killed two top commanders in battle but were martyred in a night attack. Kasmandi village is still named after Raja Kans. This history is missing from our textbooks. Last month their Smriti Gaurav Dwar was uprooted at 3 AM outside a police station. FIR filed but no arrests. The Pasi community has given May 25 as the deadline. They are trusting CM Yogi’s record on protecting Hindu heritage and removing encroachments.

The more I look into this - there are 1000’s of such cases including Punjabi Hindus This man - who is called “Sharme” Punjabi way of calling a Sharma (Hindu Punjabi Pandit) has been kept on the farm since he was 4-5 years old - he is now over 60 years old - so he has spent all his life in slavery in Punjab - imagine the depravity

In 1991 heavy rains brought down the walls of the very famous Alamgir Mosque in Vidisha (see pic.). A surprised population discovered that inside this 300 year old mosque were pillars carrying distinctly Hindus signs and symbols. This fitted in with popular memories that a temple here had been demolished at the instance of Aurangzeb and a mosque constructed above the temple. Pieces of the temple structure were used to build the mosque. A quick inquiry revealed stone inscriptions which suggested that this was a temple that had existed for over 700 years before it was broken at the instance of the mughal emperor. Excavations revealed broken statues of Hindu gods and goddesses buried under the floor of the mosque. At this stage any further investigation was stopped by the government. Currently what can be seen are bits and pieces which have been unearthed. The main temple which had been demolished to make way for the mosque has been identified as a Vijaya Temple, a temple devoted to the goddess Vijaya. It is popularly known as the Beejamandal. Single Judge Justice G.M. Mohiuddin refused interim stay. The court’s reasoning? Under the HRCE Act, the archaka is just a “servant of the deity”, not owner or trustee. All temple lands legally vest in the “deity”. Archaka can only bid like any outsider to cultivate his own family’s land. This is the state of Archaka in Bharat! 😢
