I think one of the biggest things that sets apart #SamuraiSlaughterHouse from other #VR combat games is that it's very story driven. I'm afraid I haven't expressed that enough while marketing the game, so I made a trailer that teases a bit of the game's story. #Quest2 #PCVR

@theTzav @BRobo82 I wouldn't recommend it. AI gets so much hate right now that the negative backlash wouldn't be worth the couple bucks you'd save from not just buying assets.

Funny how nobody talks about tools like photogrammetry or face scanning and how they take jobs away from artists. Nobody says that motion capture is stealing jobs from animators.

@PomMaster1204 @Sebbywebz I wouldn't call it outdated because people still enjoy it, but yeah, I'm sure it's just simply a lot of people's preference to not have it. Personally it was something I endured because there were rarely any other games with as much depth, story, and content as turn based RPGs.

@Sebbywebz Anyone who says "turn based is/was outdated" was never a fan of turn based in the first place. The genre has lasted since 2001. You'd think an "outdated" gameplay mode wouldn't survive past a certain point the way they're acting like it did.

Square by that time merged with Enix and decided to go on a new route and took out turned base combat because it was outdated and by that time turned based combat was losing popularity , FFXII may not be the best FF but it wasnt that bad either

@ego_large @revenant_MMXX i mean hl1 and halo don't incorporate physics as hard as hl2 and im surprised there aren't any devs brave enough to try and make interconnected levels, unless its an absolute nightmare. idk i dont know anything about game development

@revenant_MMXX Even if it's not hard, its harder than the character simply moving in the direction you push the stick towards. It's also much slower and annoying. I've seen worse movement controls but not very many.

Tank controls are not "hard to use" if you have any spatial reasoning skills at all. This is like saying a bicycle is hard to ride because it doesn't work the same as walking. My contempt is not only justified, it is righteous.

@BattleAxeVR I just cheated and adjusted the projectile path to head towards wherever the player was looking. It works surprisingly well. People say it feels good and to my knowledge, no one's uncovered the secret why.

Like learning to play "piano" by tapping on your table, throwing darts in VR is unlikely to a) prove your skill level IRL (may even reduce it), b) something you can do easily IRL WITH FRIENDS c) "throwing" in VR mostly sucks anyway, everyone's known this since Axe Throw game

every pokemon game is fun, they never stopped being fun. the only reason it's "too easy" now is because you're an adult if you were an adult for gen 1 they still would've been easy. they were always easy. they're kids' games
