That's a very simple math problem. How long have boomers been working, and how long have millenials been working? If one of them is a longer time period, it would make sense that that group has more wealth. Even further, if one of those groups has been working 3 times as long, it makes sense they have about 3 times the wealth.

@esaagar I highly recommend figuring out how to homeschool your kids, if you can.

It's easy for me to say: My kid is only 1 but after seeing all this and the WSJ piece on chromebooks. I will be leading the charge in my school district when the time comes to ritually burn them all and ban all phones from schools.
The Institute for Family Studies@FamStudies
Among the key findings: ➡️ Even parents who describe their parenting style as low tech and encourage free-range play allow their three-year-old children an average of 3.5 hours per week of time on internet-enabled devices. Article link is here: ifstudies.org/blog/new-ifs-b…

@AVARY This is literally hard-copy radio. Someone wrote a song to transmit to multiple people from one performance (creating the template scroll), and it got sent out to everyone who was willing to pay for it.

Banned for good reason! This is the music that runs through my head as I drive around Los Angeles!
Brian Roemmele@BrianRoemmele
This device was banned in some cites. They called this soulless machine music. It took over a decade to allow some cites to remove restrictions. When you know the past, you know the future.

@Rach4Patriarchy @amytheartist Also, just for clarity, Rachel is not one of those we view in this light.
English

@Rach4Patriarchy @amytheartist My wife and I talk about the fact that many of the "trad wife" influencers we've seen are just cosplaying a stereotype that for some reason appears based on the early episodes of 'The Marvelous Mrs Masel' rather than just saying, "Hey, we're a team. This is where I want to be."

@Fat_Electrician @SteveOnSpeed I'm 49, and if what I pay in from my job could go into an account I can control, I'd do it as soon as I could.
English

@ZubyMusic @CoachDanGo I really like my Open Run Pro by Shokz. No padding, and they leave my ears open for surrounding sounds.
English

@CoachDanGo No idea. I use over ear headphones. Cheaper ones, so I don't mind if they get sweaty.

@Steezehuman Can confirm, yet I keep right on going.
And I would be remiss if I didn't advise people to listen to or watch the greatest podcast they have never heard of.
I might only have 2500 followers, but Words & Numbers has 2 million downloads and counting.

@Brettdasovic @Tim_D_Morrill I think it was a meme from the early days, but it was basically "excuses that feel worse than rejection". The one I remember is: "I'm sorry, I can't go out with you Saturday. I have to write a letter to my favorite laundry detergent company."
English

@Tim_D_Morrill I'm using this excuse the next time my wife asks me to watch something I want to skip! 😂

@Tim_The_Sandman @FBI Unfortuntaely, it would be "doing something" about the transcriber, not the files.
English

If we transcribe the Epstein documents using seashells on a beach, do you think the @FBI might finally do something about them?

@shellenberger @RyanHoliday @IvankaTrump I was a casual follower of The Daily Stoic. I listened to most of the podcasts(while I was listening). I learned a lot. There came a point where in addition to the wisdom from the past, Ryan started adding a lot of self-righteousness about the present. So I just moved along.
English

Stoicism values humility, emotional control, and loyalty to family. And yet America's leading popularizer of it, @RyanHoliday, displays none of those qualities in his angry, TDS-fueled condemnation of @IvankaTrump. He displays an arrogance every wisdom tradition warns against.

@AnnaVocino My biggest challenge is that I love food, so it's easy to justify decisions that aren't optimal. And the flip side is I feel like those poor decisions don't have a huge impact long-term.
English

@senatorshoshana Wait, so kids don't just do what they're told? I'm completely shocked.
English

@Tim_The_Sandman @LondonRiverSFW Passive is one of my favorite songs . . . when my brain is functional enough to remember it.
English

@LondonRiverSFW It's a solid choice still, I still have them on my like 2nd or 3rd gen ipod touch.
Oops, I guess I'm right around that old too.
English

@millsalice144 I always think of the "Shatner comma" as more of an . . . ellipsis
