The glaring hypocrisy of Eritrean Isaias Afwerki supporters living comfortably in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Australia, and across Europe must end. While they enjoy democratic freedoms, internet access, and human rights they aggressively deny to their fellow Eritreans, they continue to praise a dictator who has turned Eritrea into an open-air prison marked by indefinite national service, transnational repression, and total absence of free speech. If Isaias’s regime is truly the paradise they claim, Western governments have a moral and security duty to investigate these diaspora networks for harassment, coercion, and funding of PFDJ terror — then deport them back to Eritrea.
