The Astros have refused to use AJ Blubaugh in the rotation because they don't believe he can get thru the order a 2nd time Meanwhile - Teng, Imai, Arrighetti & Burrows have gotten chance after chance to start - while consistently needing Blubaugh & others after pitching 4 or less

@TheRealCoachZ73 @astro_numbers A little but Jennings was more of a veteran and wasn’t under team control beyond that one season. The Astros still have time to try and get Burrows figured out as they have 4 more years of control beyond this season.

@michaelbeck @astros Vázquez will be 36 in August, he “hit” .185 in May, and .146 in June. He was getting worn out by overuse before Díaz returned.

Does anyone remember, when the @Astros turn around really started (before this latest backtracking). It was when Yainer Diaz got injured, and Joe Espada was forced to play Christian Vasquez almost every game. Now Diaz finally gets back in there and for whatever reason it seems like he has to be their starting catcher almost every single game. And by the way, we’re starting to backtrack again. 😡 Could be a coincidence but not this many games in I don’t think -look at the record when starting catcher versus when Vasquez is. It’s not even close. They are a much better team with Vasquez catcher.

@CoachSethHarris He believed in getting to it. He found head coaches just talked philosophy and danced around real Xs and Os so he stopped inviting them.

My dad wasn't just an OL coach he fought in Vietnam. That's elite salty. He always expected his clinic speakers to get to the football.
