The race to tokenize stock exchanges is on! 🔥 Just days after the @SECGov approved @NasdaqExchange's tokenized trading, the @NYSE announced a partnership with @Securitize to build infrastructure for tokenized securities. The goal of the partnership is to enable: ➡️24/7 Trading: Moving beyond traditional market hours. ➡️Instant Settlement: Reducing the time and risk associated with the current T+1 or T+2 settlement cycles. ➡️Fractional Ownership: Making it easier for investors to buy and sell portions of high-value shares. Securitize will serve as a premier "design partner" for the NYSE’s upcoming Digital Trading Platform. The DTP will create a digital transfer agent designed to support the on-chain settlement of securities transactions. Minting: Securitize will be a digital transfer agent eligible to "mint" blockchain-native securities for the NYSE. Interoperability: The platform is being designed so that tokenized shares can be fungible with traditionally issued securities.
