If Trump's so-called "SAVE America" Act was actually about voter ID, you'd be able to use your driver's license or your military ID to register to vote. But it's not. It's about making it harder for the American people to cast their ballot this November.
Connecticut will not stand by while Congress tries to make it harder for eligible Americans to vote. The SAVE America Act creates barriers, not protections. I stand with @CTSotS and @LGSusanb in opposing this threat to our democracy.

It's insane to me that the GOP isn't using the CCW permit rebuttal every time Democrats argue against the SAVE Act. It's so obvious, and they have no good response to it. This argument should be made in every debate, every TV interview, etc. Blue states often charge crazy amounts for CCW permits, and require all sorts of documentation too. Far worse than anything the SAVE Act asks for.
