It's a joke, but it's also true: the United States of America has existed in its present form for longer than most other countries in the world. The U.S. formed in 1789 with the ratification of the Constitution. Here is a list of younger countries: U.K.: 1801 France: 1946 Germany: 1871 Italy: 1861 Russia: 1991 China: 1949 Iran: 1979 Mexico: 1821 Turkey: 1923 India: 1947 One of the most absurd things about modern geopolitics is how we're supposed to treat retarded modern regimes like the People's Republic or Islamic Republic as representatives of an unbroken line of cultural continuity going back millennia. Nobody does that with European states. Nobody regards Italy as the heir of the Roman Empire, not even Italians. It's a society DESCENDED from Rome and influenced by it, but it's very clearly a different civilization, a different people. Similarly, the idea that the DEI mullah state of Iran has any continuity with the Persians of antiquity is absurd. We're supposed to pretend that millennia of cultural drift and repeated invasions from Arabs, Mongols etc. didn't transform the people there into something different. Same with China; the middle management communists of the People's Republic are skinsuiting the past empires of China after deliberately expelling the descendants of that empire. America endures because we've figured out something most of the turd world and about half of Europe has failed to: how to maintain the same government, society, and basic structure over time without devolving into revolution or savagery.

The 2,700 year history of the United States begins with Romulus killing Remus on the banks of the Tiber; China was still ruled by steppe nomads when the Wright Brothers invented the airplane.

So, Sen Tillis says he is now unfiltered due to him retiring and he can now say things he couldn't before due to "political considerations." In other words, Tillis admits to lying to voters for the last 12 years to get re-elected and now that he isn't running again he can finally tell the voters exactly how he feels about them. Not sure this is the flex he thinks it is.

I've been saying for a long time that there's no Epstein list, there never was Epstein list and if there was it was destroyed a long time ago. Epstein was a pedophile and a predator, but he wasn't an idiot. You really think he'd create a stupid list? While I do believe he was running a trafficking ring, I think the extent of it's been blown way out of proportion by social media. Even the victims named like a dozen men, but they were C listers we've never heard of. Not the A-listers we were promised by grifters online engagement farming with zero evidence. And, yes, Pam Bondi and Republican influencers played a role by promising you something that never existed. Shame on them. And the story grew more and more because conspiracy theorists online viewed a lack of evidence as just more evidence of a cover-up. They want you to think the Biden administration had evidence Trump was in cahoots with Epstein, but they sat on the evidence the whole time while he was running for President. 🤡 So they arrested him 4 times, charged him 83 felonies and shot him in the face to stop him from being President, but they drew the line at releasing Epstein evidence? "The Epstein list" has become a modern day witch hunt. If you took a picture with Epstein in the mid 90s you're definitely a pedophile despite the fact that he was a socialite and everyone took pictures with him long before the allegations were known. Massie and his foreign bot supporters are desperate to keep the memory of a dead pedophile alive. And he promises he'll release the "real" evidence in just 7 more months.

Massie says only 7 more months and then he'll definitely release the damning evidence he has regarding Epstein. Why wait 7 months when he's already waited 8 months? Why not expose all these supposed pedophiles right now? Because the "principled" Massie needs to prolong the grift and lie as long as possible.

🚨After receiving a briefing from a Senior TRUMP Administration Official on the status of the Iran negotiations (someone in the know & not just speculating), I can tell you the following: -USA IS NOT GIVING IRANIANS MONEY FOR NOTHING. All speculation and propaganda to the contrary is false. Some hardline elements of Iran’s govt (IRGC) have pushed fake stories & propaganda to try to kill this negotiation. -Iran deal is NOT done (95%, but still haggling over some language). No deal being signed today. May be a few more days before this is done. -Iran will NOT get any money or sanctions relief up front. -Iran must turn over nuclear stockpile to get anything. USA position is that failure to meet deal commitments means Iran gets nothing. -Long term USA objective is preventing Iran from having nuclear weapon. -Initial deal point is to re-establish free flow of commerce by reopening Strait of Hormuz. Deal should have 2 phases: Step 1 - Open Strait of Hormuz. Give world economy breathing room. Iran agrees to give up enriched uranium. Step 2 - Get the nuclear material turned over. Only then can Iran get sanctions relief. Bottom line: goal is to make a deal that lowers costs for Americans, calms world energy markets, and guarantees that Iranians cannot have a nuclear weapon over the long term. We aren’t there yet. Iran takes forever to get you a response on even small things. But we are close although it still could be a few days. “If we get what we are demanding, this is going to be a historic deal,” SAO says. SAO sounds prepared to do no deal at all if all Iran will do is a “bad deal.” SAO admits deal could fall apart yet. But if a deal is reached, SAO expects very senior USA admin officials to take part in a signing ceremony of some sort. Iran has agreed in principle to the framework but there are still a couple points USA isn’t satisfied with. 95% done. But literally changing words sometimes requires days in Iran’s system. Haggling over language. But USA feels like we have a commitment on nuclear stockpile and on opening Strait of Hormuz. If IRAN doesn’t deliver on commitments, they get nothing. “Iran’s ability to project power is a lot more limited than it was two months ago,” SAO says. “Their industrial base for building ballistic missiles has been substantially destroyed.”

Trump TRIED to topple the Iranian regime and the entire global liberal intelligentsia spent the whole time trying to destroy the operation. Fukuyama was against it. Virtually every neocon who supported the Iraq War was against it because Trump was doing it. Hell I’m pretty sure John Bolton was against it. Can somebody explain how Trump is supposed to topple the Iranian regime when nobody has the will to do it? I wish the Iranian regime collapsed. It would have happened if the entire Western intelligentsia didn’t fucking panic at the sight of blood. What did Lenin say? Advance with bayonets - if you find mush, push, if you find steel, withdraw. Trump found mush and would have toppled the Iranian regime had the entire collective Western taste maker class had the guts to deliver freedom to the Iranian people. Instead they were all soft, cringe and retarded. Trump was the only one who actually tried

Virtually the entire upper echelon of the Iranian military and government were killed in this war, and over 6,000 Iranian military personnel were killed alongside them. Almost the entire Iranian navy has been sunk, and over 200 ballistic missile launchers were destroyed, to say nothing of the infrastructure damage and economic losses that have now befallen the country. Iran's entire economy is imploding. Inflation is over 100%, food and housing shortages are popping up across the country, the unemployment rate for 18-to 40-year-old men is around 50%, and no one knows whether the nation's new Supreme Leader is even alive. You can easily argue that none of this was worth a war in the first place. I've certainly made that argument myself. I still don't think this conflict was worth it. But in what possible way could anyone seriously argue with a straight face that Iran is stronger today than it was in January? Have some damn perspective. You can oppose a conflict without inventing fantasies about how that conflict has played out.
George Boctor@MrGeorgeBoctor

@ChristianHeiens Trump promised; total surrender, support for Iranian protesters, victory. Instead Iran still has uranium, missiles, IRGC, leverage on the strait, sanctions relief 25B$ per NYT. Iran ends war stronger than before! What was the war for, and what were 13 servicemen sacrificed for?

After their bill had passed and millions of Epstein files were released, Massie and Khanna spent some time reviewing the files and then went straight to a press conference. They were in a massive hurry to declare that they "caught" the DOJ. They spent the majority of the press conference boasting about the "coverup" that they had discovered. Massie and Khanna said they found six men who were being protected in the files. They didn't take a couple days to sort it out and make sure that they were correct. Instead, they immediately held a press conference. Khanna praised Massie for using his "MIT logic" to find the "coverups." Massie was asked at the press conference how he knew that the men were guilty of crimes. Listen to his answer. It's gibberish. He said he found a list of 20 names and photos (including Epstein), saw some foreign names and figured out by the corresponding photos that they were men and therefore concluded they had to be guilty. The very next day Ro Khanna read these names on the House floor and then they both went on TV to talk about these six people. He and Massie ended up defaming innocent people. A politician found some redactions and photos, immediately held a press conference without knowing anything else about the what he had found, and then falsely accused innocent men. That's the least "libertarian" thing ever. It's exactly the type of thing that most libertarians would be outraged about but because it was Massie, they don't care.

So now you’re claiming that Obama cooked the books? Lol, that’s the opposite of what you said yesterday. Let’s try to stay on topic if you want to keep it going. You originally took issue with me saying Obama inflated deportation numbers, of which you had no real argument against. Now you’re acknowledging that, in an attempt to skewer Trump’s deportation numbers. Here’s the thing, go back and read my comment that you originally replied to. I never touted Trump’s deportation numbers, I touted net migration. Which is drastically better under Trump because there aren’t nearly as many people coming across the border. I wish Trump would deport many more people, they aren’t doing nearly enough but that doesn’t change the fact of what’s happening at the border. I can skewer deportation numbers and also acknowledge the success at the border because they are two different things. Again, let’s stay on topic and remember the conversation. I’m not going to keep playing “move the goalposts” with you. If you have something to argue with regard to the original point of the debate then I’m all ears, otherwise, have a good night!

@DThomas70448300 @ky_statesman There are 300k registered voters in the district. There were around 115k votes cast on Tuesday. These are readily available numbers for people who actually look at things themselves Nd not just gobble up everything they are told. A 30-40% turnout is not anomalous.

@mandyarthur @grok I understand why the numbers look surprising, but we can’t assume turnout doubled and then treat the entire increase as one group that all voted for the other candidate. Elections don’t work that cleanly. The voter pool changes, but so do people’s choices inside that pool.

Ed Callrein got 57,822 mail-in ballots. Thomas Massie received 47,538. Callrein was unknown and Massie was dog walking him in the polls (up to 70% in many cases) up until DAYS before the election. There weren’t 100k+ mail in ballots turned in and counted in a day. And is if these numbers are indeed accurate, Ed Callrein only beat Massie because of the disparity in MAIL IN BALLOTS. The very system of voting Republicans constantly lament needs to be removed because Democratic elite use it to rig their elections in the same way. They just did the same thing. This election was RIGGED.
