2/2 bought it. He was thrilled. She repeated how special it was & you could see it meant so much to them. Social groups like this are imperative as loneliness has a devastating impact. Please drop in & support your local Men In Sheds, they are wonderful, & fix things too!🧓🏻👨🏻‍🦳 🔨

WTAF???!! As his final act, Wes Streeting just signed off ALL OUR PATIENT RECORDS to Palantir WITHOUT our knowledge or consent & then resigned “Your medical notes, prescriptions & DNA will be used however a politician decides; you’ll have no say & no choice” TO PALANTIR!!! 🚩

Wow. Everyone needs to read this. All Labour MPs and party members need to understand this. Especially @jamesmurray_ldn The Lords will stop this, & we will support them. So let’s work together to make it right. medconfidential.org/2026/wes-stree… @BMA_GP

Wendy was arrested by local police and detained. She begged officers not to keep Oliver, her 3 year old, separate from her. ICE refused. Her beautiful, kind son is now dead.

September 11, 2001. 9:37 a.m. Lt. Col. Marilyn Wills was in a Pentagon conference room when American Airlines Flight 77 struck. The fireball threw her across the table. Her hair caught fire. The room went black with smoke. Crawling, she felt a hand grab her belt. "My name is Lois," a voice said. Lois Stevens, a civilian employee, injured and choking. "Stay with me. Where I go, you go." Wills pressed her Army sweater into Lois's hands. "Breathe through this." When Lois collapsed, her nylons melted to her legs, Wills lifted her onto her back and carried her. Six others followed the sound of her voice through the wreckage. They reached a sealed second-floor window. They broke it. Cool air rushed in. Wills stayed inside. "I'll go last," she said, and helped lower every person out before she fell into rescuers' arms below. Lois Stevens lived 23 more years because of that decision. Wills received the Soldier's Medal and Purple Heart for her burns, smoke inhalation, and traumatic brain injury. Thirteen days later, she returned to the Pentagon. She later deployed to Afghanistan. She never called herself a hero. "We lost so many that day," she said quietly. "They were my friends." Some leaders give orders. Others carry people through the fire. God bless Lt. Col. Marilyn Wills — and all who served on 9/11.

Attention, historians of Georgian London! I have a beautiful aquatint of the Royal Exchange for sale, published by Ackermann in 1816. A fascinating scene, with the famous grasshopper on top of the tower & the crowded shop windows. DM or go straight to my Etsy shop here: etsy.com/uk/listing/4...

I don't mean to upset you, but Wes Streeting's leadership challenge is likely to end in crushing humiliation because no one wants him (apart from Palantir). We could be witnessing the end of Wes Streeting's political career 😭😭😭

Please retweet, 2 dogs abandoned rescued from a council pound after being used in dog fighting #KENT #UK Saved by New Hope Animal Rescue - 'We were contacted last night by one of the Authorities we help about these two little darlings who were seized after being found in poor body condition and literally covered in dog bite wounds. They are both lovely dogs and not problematic with other dogs but it is though as they were locked in a very small space with limited access to food they fought through hunger and distress. They are in better condition now and ready to be released so after reaching out to our rescue network we have managed to find places for them both. It’s a sad state of affairs, people don’t realise that cases like this are happening all the time. This pair are lucky 🙏🏻 ' Original post on facebook👇👇👇 facebook.com/NHARescue Website newhopeanimalrescue.org.uk Email newhopeanimalrescue@hotmail.co.uk #Stray #straydog #bulldogs #britishbulldogsuk #dogs #Canterbury #Ashford #Dover #Edenbridge #England #Wales #Scotland #London #adoptdontshop @missingdogwales #animalcruelty @PETAUK @NickDixonITV @PatrickChristys @APDAWG1 @domdyer70 @DogLostUK @MissingPetsGB @AndrewRosindell @KatieAmess @clarebalding @PatrickChristys @GMB @NickDixonITV @thismorning @AllDogsMatter @themayhew @DogsTrust @Battersea_ @JerryGreenDogs @WoodgreenPets @ConservativeAWF @LabourAnimalRG @JaneFallon @rickygervais @missgemcollins

🚨CONVICTED | Paul Prosser, 36, and and Laura Mills,38, of Cefn Hengoed, #Hengoed, #Caerphilly CF82 – left two cats to suffer pain, disease and distress. The couple pleaded guilty to an animal welfare offence in relation to two of their three cats, Phoebe and Ditzy, both of whom had to be put down due to their poor health. In August 2025, RSPCA Chief Inspector (CI) Emma Smith attended the family home after concerns were raised about the welfare of a cat at the address. Mills told CI Smith she used to own eight cats but had signed five of them over to a rescue the previous year because there were too many to cope with. Of the three remaining cats in Mills’ care, one was healthy but Phoebe and Ditzy were in a state of suffering with severe dental issues. CI Smith said: “Phoebe was a black and white domestic short haired cat. She was in a very thin body condition with a body score that I assessed as a one or two out of nine (five to six being ideal). “Her ribs and spine were easily felt when smoothed and could be seen through her coat. Her coat was matted and very stained with yellow and brown colouring which I assumed was urine/faecal matter. “I immediately noticed that she was dribbling a thick yellow discharge from her mouth which smelt very pungent of infection.” Ditzy was also in a “very thin body condition” and her body score was assessed as one or two out of nine. She added: “Her ribs, hips and spine were all easily felt and seen through her coat. She was also dribbling heavily from her mouth and had a dirty and stained coat.” The cats were taken to a vet for assessment but were too poorly to be saved. The vet said: “Phoebe had severe dental disease with root exposure, gingival ulceration, inflamed tonsils and tongue ulceration. “She had a poor body condition and an unkempt coat with large areas of scabbed skin, urine staining and dried faeces attached. “On presentation, Ditzy had severe dental disease with root exposure, bleeding gingiva, tongue ulceration and hypersalivation. She had a poor body condition with an unkempt coat with urine staining and dried faeces attached.” In mitigation, Prosser and Mills blamed financial hardship for their failure to provide their pets with even basic care. Following sentencing, CI Smith said: “All animals deserve to be treated with kindness and should have their needs met. We would urge anyone who is struggling to seek help and urge owners to be mindful of only taking on animals whose needs they can financially meet.” Sentencing |Mills: 12-month community order with 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement; £100 fine, £114 victim surcharge and £200 in costs. Prosser: 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work; £114 surcharge and £200 in costs. Both are disqualified from keeping animals for five years, with a 35-day suspension to allow them to rehome the remaining animals themselves Source UKACF.
