The @FL_Corrections has really done it this time, let me start out by saying it's bad enough the inmates get abused and at times lives even taken but now it's at a point where even the Officer's have to worry about the ones they work with. I am in total disgust at this incident involving Officer Jackson from Hardee CI, this young man loved his job like all of the GOOD Officer's do and he paid the ultimate price for it. Now I was not there to witness it but some were and all I can say is the Dept needs to do the right thing and hand over the full video of it and not just the clip after he fell to the ground. Now here is a statement from an anonymous source that has vital information about it, and yes I am helping the family because they deserve the truth. Working at Hardee has been very difficult at times. Last Friday one of our staff lost his life in the line of duty. He was only 24 and he was a new father. He was also new to this career. He wanted desperately to fit in. That desire and desperation to fit in may have cost him his life. I am pointing my finger because there are a few things that don’t add up to some of us. As people talk, we try to figure out what happened and why it happened. It was a tryout for the RRT, Rapid Response Team. It is a team of the most aggressive, fearless and sometimes brutal staff trained to respond to violent disturbances. Several men on the team have reputations they earned by being abusive to inmates. They can also be abusive to staff. The leader of the team that day was on leave and in his place was Lieutenant Bonnet. A Lieutenant that was moved out of the close management dormitories due to the excessive uses of force and some believe due to the number of questionable practices the administration has had to cover up for him. Warden Edelen likes this Lieutenant very much. Both have openly joked and bragged about their competition to have the most career uses of force. Warden Edelen brags about his high number of forces used when he was in the lower ranks during his career. Lieutenant Bonnet brags that he will beat that number. This bragging encourages more violence, not less. It also leads to a lot of inappropriate use of force. Most in this field seem fine when it is aimed at inmates but now it may have destroyed one of our own. That is what prompted this post. I am angry. Just hours after this incident Lieutenant Bonnet informed staff that Officer Jackson died of hidden pneumonia, the next day he called it walking pneumonia. An autopsy is likely still not been completed but a cause of death has been determined? This does not make sense that a Lieutenant would spread such information without proof. His timeline is suspicious. The next morning Lieutenant Bonnet is said to have posted on his social media a questionable but beautiful message honoring our fallen Officer. Not to be insensitive but most of us read it as a guilty cry. Lieutenant Bonnet was not close to this Officer last Thursday but by Saturday they were best friends so to speak. Lieutenant Bonnet moped around all weekend sad looking but most of us have seen through it. Looks more like guilt than sympathy. Then a seasoned older Sergeant living in the staff housing mentioned to several staff over this past weekend that he came out of his trailer to a heavy fog of chemical agents that Friday. He also implied that it bothered him as this was extremely unusual considering the distance the staff housing from the training field where chemical agents are applied. He normally would not notice a training exercise. Our mailroom staff Mr. Minor is part of the Post Trauma Peer Support Team. A team of staff from several institutions that are activated to come in and give support to staff in a crisis such as this one. Some among us have suggested that we don’t’ invite people in that might learn our secrets and exploit them. Mr. Minor made several attempts to have Warden Edelen activate this team with no response for days. Then finally Regional Director Brian Riedl, a close and personal friend of Warden Edelen showed up and agreed to activate the team. He agreed in the presence of a few staff that will serve as witnesses to that fact. The two friends then went behind closed doors and upon the Regional Directors exit Warden Edelen cancelled the activation stating we will handle our crisis in house. WTF? That was a game they play to protect Riedl’s position in this and keep this secret in house. It is who you know that counts. We hope the inspectors look at Sergeant Moore. He runs the arsenal and might have popped down to the scene and not been noticed gathering the empty cans of chemical agents and leaving full new cans on scene. He can control the inventory of chemical agents. He has the resources and ability to manipulate those inventory numbers. As part of the administrative team, he has incentive. He and others have done it before, and they will do it again. I was not there so I am only stating what has been circulated by those that were there and what the whispers are. I hope staff come forward and tell the truth about what happened. I hope you all tell the truth to those seeking the truth for Officer Jackson. If you witnessed it and then covered up anything, you need to face consequences for your actions. That man was one of us. That man had a life. He had a child he should be raising. He was someone’s son, someone’s friend, someone’s loved one. IF he was hazed in any way whatsoever just to be part of that team then the entire team should disband, and every participant face severe consequences. IF there was hazing then those leading this exercise need to face criminal charges. Warden Edelen should also face consequences as the party responsible for what his staff did. He has protected previous actions of certain staff involved in this and for that he should face consequences. Something doesn’t feel right about this entire incident, and I hope justice is served. @RitaForFlorida @AGJamesUthmeier @AndreaGainey @davidjollyfl @RepCampbell_FL @AnnaForFlorida @RepCassel @LaurenMeloFL @AdamAndersonFL @EdmondsJervonte @RepMaggard @Paula4FLHouse47 @repjohntemple @SenatorOsgood @senpizzo @RepMikeCaruso @RepMoniqueM @ChandlerForPB @RepChambliss @RepDanDaley @JeffreyBrandes @YvonneHinsonFL @FBIDirectorKash @FBIDDBongino @FentriceForFL @jenna_persons @JayCollinsFL @GossettSeidman @csime90 @GovGoneWild @GovRonDeSantis @CarlosGSmith @RepAlbritton @RandolphBracy @SenatorMcClain @JasonShoafFL @RepTomFabricio @Robin_Bartleman @BernyJacques @MyNews13 @news6wkmg @FoxNews @ABC @WFTV

@AmericanAir Better off flying frontier/spirit, they own their failures with flight credits/ food vouchers. Our 7am flight was delayed until 1pm b/c they “gave” our plane to another flight leaving us with a broken plane. They refused refunds/food vouchers. WORST Experience EVER!
