This is a very odd move for a contract with a no trade provision. There is zero cap benefit to the Browns and Garrett, Im assuming, is now deferring $10M that was going to be paid now to the fall. I guess maybe a bigger payment in the fall when they pick it up?

I was in a weird spot professionally when I took @TheScoutAcademy (during a layoff), and it ended up being a huge turning point for me. The flexibility + support Dan provides made all the difference. If you’re serious about learning how to evaluate the game, it’s worth it.

@tejfbanalytics I’ve always wondered why teams haven’t tapped into this, could be a job, capstone project, internship for credit, even a senior design project. There’s a lot of options on how to make it work. We already see this in action from the Big Data Bowl student track

almost every campus with a college football team has an army of capable coders who would do anything for their team. yet it doesn't seem like these programs take advantage of it to the extent that they should be. someone could probably clean up in recruiting, transfer portal and game prep off of what they have available to them (they should definitely pay and/or give college credit to the students that do work for them)
