I’m honored to share that I’ve been elected to the IMG Governing Council of the American Medical Association for the 2026–2029 term. @AmerMedicalAssn I will be the only Resident/Fellow representing International Medical Graduates at the national level on the AMA IMG Governing Council. Representing my area and the communities I serve, I’m grateful to everyone who voted for me and supported me throughout this process. I look forward to continuing to empower IMGs and working more closely to advocate for medical students, residents, and physicians, while helping improve healthcare nationwide and advocating for our patients and communities. Thank you again for the trust. Looking forward to working more closely with @drjohnwhyte, @PresAmerMed, @drricardocorrea and the rest of AMA leadership 🙌 Also forever grateful for all the support I have always received from my Program Director, @SeeFisch. I couldn’t have asked for a better PD to help me achieve my goals and continue to inspire me! Excited for what’s ahead 💜

Blockading Iranian ports is an act of war and thus a violation of the ceasefire. Striking a commercial vessel and taking its crew hostage is an even greater violation. Iran knows how to neutralize restrictions, how to defend its interests, and how to resist bullying.
