@RestorerPatriot I would at least expect her to know the policies inside out, surely that has to be the basic level. I hope it was just a bad interview and she’s actually far more competent than she came across.

She's a decent human being from a small-business background and local to Makerfield, that's what we were promised by Rupert. Local professionals not career politicians. It's her first time. She hasn't done anything wrong. She's allowed to be nervous. She hasn't deleted her previous X accounts to cover up bizarre messages like Rob Kenyon. She just wants what is best for her community.

Lowe promised a new breed of elite candidate. This one, in complete fairness, is thick as mince.

It's remarkable how unimpressive Shepherd is, especially given how heavily Restore have tried to sell themselves as the competent alternative. Apparently Restore Wigan has 150 members, surely there must have been better choices among them?
Chris Rose@ArchRose90

So far I’ve only seen three short clips of Restore Britain’s Rebecca Shepherd. In each of them she gives very simplistic responses and no real depth to her answers. She is simply terrible. She sounds like an MP for Facebook, not Makerfield, my goodness.

I don't think Lowe is the man who can save Britain. Rupert Lowe is prepared to say "no" to the liberal elite, but unfortunately he still fundamentally is a liberal, believes in multiculturalism, democracy, blank slate biology and so on. What he fundamentally objects to is tyranny. Rupert and many people from Restore believe that they can fix Britain with "common decency" and "good people". Like, we could run a multicultural woke utopia and it would be fantastic as long as people were honest and decent!

@NC7983 @robertsepehr @Greene_Thoughts @BreitbartNews White men are afraid of diversity and inclusion because they’re afraid of competing with people from different backgrounds. White men don’t see non-white people as equals. So when they see non-white people working alongside white people, they lose their minds.

@English_Jew This line of reasoning is so retarded. The literal point of a political party is to stand candidates for election, not 'get some party that is politically somewhat related elected’. Also, Burnham as leader of Labour is probably easier to defeat than Starmer on policy.

And finally the truth comes out. 'We’re very happy with progress.' Said like a true Manchurian Candidate (look it up if you not old enough to know) Let's assume for a moment Rupert's numbers are correct. Do any Restore supporters understand what they mean? No? Thought not. It means Restore come in at a VERY respectable Third place. Third. But do you know what else it means? It means that Burnham is guaranteed a ticket to Westminster and a seat behind the desk in No.10. Great progress. Really Great. Super patriotic and all that too! 🤦‍♂️

Sod it. For the purposes of full transparency, here are our canvassing returns from Makerfield that we’ve had back so far from the door knocking today. 1,010 sample size. 24.6% for Restore Britain. 31.2% definitely against. 24.2% undecided. 20% considering. Excluding won’t votes. More teams coming back, so the sample size will grow a lot in the next few hours. Largely agrees with what we’ve found over the last week - astounding response with the working class, more difficult with wealthier areas. To be honest. Labour are the opponent in the fancier places, Reform with the working class. Our campaign has just taken off. Great name recognition already, but clearly room to grow. Let’s see what happens. But we’re very happy with progress.

You lot simply can’t handle the truth. Immigration is falling precipitously and has been since Sunak. You can’t come to terms with it because doing so would mean admitting that this hasn’t made anyone’s life better and you have no real solutions to society’s problems.

@Chalbiwsk @louisvarge Average emigration from the UK during the Empire period was about 60k a year, distributed across all colonies. In 2023 alone, long-term immigration into the UK was 1.4 million (so 23 times higher). You can't compare the two.

@louisvarge It’s coz of racism. Before world war 1, only europeans had the means to travel the world, hence it was booming. Today, blacks and browns can do so, and whites are insecure (like the little bitches that they are) hence they restrict immigration

i don’t understand why immigration of any sort is universally unpopular. almost every country on earth heavily restricts it this is a recent thing too! before world war 1, you could just take a steamship from Brazil to Paris for $20 and decide you lived in France now what changed? are people bad now? is that the reason more people are even more bad? back then income wasn’t taxed in most jurisdictions either. now we tax our own people’s income & we don’t allow others to immigrate and earn income. i ask again, are people bad? is working bad? where did this zero sum attitude come from? what if we could also start deporting our own citizens, to have as few people as possible. would that be even better? is 0 the best amount of people? what is the point of all this?

@louisvarge Is a question of scale. 50k a year new inhabitants into a large country is hardly noticeable, 1m a year is very noticeable. People's natural in-group preference isn't triggered when the volume is low.

Nationalise Morrisons, use it as the foundation for a new, publicly-owned grocery store selling high quality, affordable food. National-level version of the Mamdani plan in New York. Need to think big in a world with repeated, major shocks to essential supply systems.

If you want immigration to go down you need to increase fertility rates. In order to increase fertility rates you need to provide accessible childcare. That is why I support free childcare for everyone. Some 'right wing' problems have 'left wing' solutions.

Tommy Robinson was sent to prison for showing a film. Lucy Connolly was sent to prison for a tweet. A British Pakistani man can break the nose of a female police officer, have the footage go viral, and walk away free. You can be stabbed by a Sikh and if he says the magic words, the police will handcuff you as you bleed out on the floor. If you notice and complain, your own government will accuse you of hate. You cannot possibly hate them enough for what they have done to England.

Sorry this is a terrible take and the UK is a pretty good example of what happens. It's very easy to demand ever increasing govt spending if you're not the one bearing the cost. Excess corruption and govt waste? Who cares if someone else is paying!
