Every single day I scroll through X and see grown adults simping for politicians like they’re rock stars who just dropped a new album. Left, right, doesn’t matter — both sides are out here writing love letters to the very people they claim are ruining the country.
Congrats, y’all. That’s some serious narrative engineering.
We’re drowning in national debt with both red and blue fingerprints all over it. Every administration, every Congress, both parties have been tag-teaming this financial disaster like it’s their favorite hobby. Yet here we are, still handing out participation trophies and praise like they’re curing cancer instead of compounding interest.
Grocery prices? Through the roof. Gas prices? Also through the roof. Heating your home? Might as well burn your paycheck for warmth. Most things cost more than ever, and millions of Americans are out here doing financial contortions just to make ends meet. But sure, let’s keep praising the feckless fucks in suits who helped get us here.
Our politicians strut around like they’re exalted beings, above the rest of us peasants. Why? Because we let them. Zero accountability, bipartisan style. Red team, blue team — same game, different jerseys. They break it, we applaud, then wonder why nothing works.
And don’t get me started on the relationships. People have ditched friends and family members over this clown show. If you’ve lost someone you love because of politics, I genuinely hope you swallow your pride and reconnect soon. Life’s too short, and these politicians sure as hell aren’t losing sleep over your family drama.
Nothing — and I mean nothing — matters more than family. The one you were born into and the one you choose.
We The People used to actually mean something. Right now it feels more like “We The Simps” handing out free PR to the very people who are supposed to work for us.
So maybe… just maybe… stop praising the mfers who broke everything and start lifting up each other instead. No relationship should die because some suit in DC decided to play tribal games.
They haven’t fixed much. We can at least fix how we treat one another.
I pray we remember who actually matters in this country.
Be well out there — and maybe touch grass instead of refreshing the latest politician worship thread.
