A screening test should start prevention, not intervention 🫀 If CAC sends an asymptomatic patient straight to the cath lab, the problem isn’t the test , it’s misuse. The solution is education, not abandoning CAC @EricTopol

Same with TAVR and other transcatheter therapies. Their extractions are among the fastest growing procedures in our specialty. It can become a public health issue down the road if cardiac programs are unable to keep up with the skill and expertise required to safely extract them.
