@BrentAWilliams2 EMR’s with the ability to “pull in” the diagnoses into the PMH of the H&P were the death of the PMH for medical use (useful for billing maybe). AI scribes will be the death of the HPI, and most worrisome, the A/P if they’re used there. No one reads that crap.

@steeder10 I think these samples need to remove break away layups and uncontested layups (pump fake, dish off to wide open guy dunking or simple lay). Bc obviously those are best. But is a rhythm, balanced pull up 8 footer over moderate contest better than trying for super contested lay?

THE NUMBERS ARE BLACK AND WHITE : From 6 feet - 25 feet players shoot ~ the same FG%. This is true from Varsity level HS to the NBA. Aside from EOC/EOG situations, there is no reason to shoot mid range shots, for MOST players. You can't sustainably win basketball games unless your EFG% is > than your opponents EFG%. 'Your culture is the sum of what you emphasize and what you tolerate.' SHOT QUALITY IS IN OUR CONTROL. 👇🏼 - 3PA vs Mid range effiency pie chart (NBA) - PPP in the NBA - PPP in HS @FastModel @TDataScience

@PoebelVox @b_cuse_ A late 1960’s commission sought to do that, Lincoln actually turned it down. Omaha would never, now. OMA 5,277,000 fliers in ‘24. LNK just 251,000. Lincolnites already come to O to fly. Proximity to downtown helps Omaha events and business.

@b_cuse_ If you want to build homes, they could have built a new airport on the Platte for LNK and OMA and built thousands of homes at OMA.

@CraftonCornett @MidwestGolfJake #1, 2, 3 - Mats 4 - bad shots don’t look as bad on screen 5 - rough and sand mean almost nothing on sim, add shots to your score outside 6 - rapid fire rhythm. Have to wait 5-10 min btw shots outside.

@MidwestGolfJake Might argue it's more the hitting off mats than the simulator. They cover a lot of sins real ground exposes. Maybe ingraining some counterproductive habits? Maybe a mental component involving expectations factoring?

Other than staying somewhat in golf shape, indoor golf is worthless. None of what I was doing on Trackman has translated to outside golf. I don't regret playing indoors all winter but disappointed the goodness doesn't translate. Before anyone asks, yes I'm using RCT golf balls

@PulmCrit Interesting to compare the subjective WHO functional class scores vs 30 day 6-minute walk distance being the same (405 m vs 393 m) or even the surprising same RV at 48 hrs. 1/🧵

@dirkchatelain McCollum plays a starter 15 total minutes bc role players feeling it. We need to attack the rim and Frager gets 25 minutes. Rienk(4-15, 0-7 on 3 FG) had 33 min. We needed to adjust to Frager starting about a month ago. Only guy who goes downhill.

Huskers lost for multiple reasons, mostly defensive. But the refusal to attack the rim is frustrating. Iowa committed one foul in the 2nd half. Nebraska got a little tired and settled.

@matthewwinick Way less freedom of movement off ball and more physical defense allowed on ball in college. Look at crazy numbers Bronny and Mac Mclung put up in G league. Yes, they are better than their best college year, but not that much. And the defenders are also pros!

We always do these stupid hypotheticals about “how good would a random college basketball team be if they had an NBA player on it?” Just turn on the BYU game right now. You’ll have your answer.

@BallsackSports Sweet collection. If you like leather, you ever think of mixing it up a bit with the Molten FIBA ball? Fun to watch those white stripes spin. On synthetics, looks like Baden just put out an EVO NXT competitor. Will be interesting if NFHS adopts it.

FINALLY WE’RE TALKING ABOUT BALLS. Here’s my full leather collection (minus some I’ve given away), with the addition of the EVO NXT (synthetic), Evolution (synthetic), OG TF1000 (synthetic). I have NBA balls from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 10s, and 20s, including some team-issued balls. Most underrated balls are the Wilson Solution (old NCAA tourney ball) and The Rock ($50 on Amazon 👀). Both are great synthetic balls. My favorite outdoor balls ironically are the $5 rubber balls from Five Below. I’ve also hand made my own leather basketballs at home. The 20-$50 indoor/outdoor balls I’m not a huge fan of (when used outdoors). They’re all pretty more or less the same material and don’t last long outdoors. I will play with any ball on any court, but I can attest that not many people will want to run with any ball other than the Wilson Evo or NXT, hence why it’s the subject of the post. The Wilson Evolution is basically the unofficial official ball of 99% of U.S. mainland basketball players.

@TedStriker67 @traviskriens Good to know fans in the 80’s and 90’s weren’t bitching about the refs during the game. Youth games feel different bc you can hear everything. Games with 1000+ fans are the same as they’ve always been.

ATTENTION STATE BASKETBALL PARENTS There just can not be a foul called on every possession. There just can't be. If there was, we'd be here until Tuesday. You also don't need to give your opinion on every whistle. You embarrass yourself and your school. #sdpreps

@traviskriens Throughout a game there is some type of contact in the area of 200 plus times. An average game has 20 to 30 fouls. If everything was called there would be no players left. (2000)

@PupDuane @traviskriens 💯 Particularly the amount of hand-checking allowed on dribblers. Call those early and defenders adjust. Opens up drive and kick, flowing basketball. They call fouls on attempted shot blocks but rarely on primary defenders hand checking and secondary defenders wrist slapping.

@TheHoopHerald @lMLrodgers @coachknowss @Meatandbro75126 No, pro officiating calls contact on dribblers WAY tighter than college. And it’s better that way. CBB has literal collisions on the ball handler for no call. Turns it into a physicality match more than a skills match.

@austincamp There’s not a clear cut answer but probs don’t have to do a full 7 days if switching from therapeutic heparin. The higher dose is not actually a “loading dose”. The manufacturer wants you to do it how it was studied, obvi, but the patho suggests you can count hep in those 7 days

Now that we’re talking about apixaban, I can re-ask a question I’ve never gotten a clear answer on: If you transition from heparin to apixaban for VTE, do you always do the full 7 days of 10 mg BID, or can you shorten that duration by how many days the patient received heparin?

@coachsvenson I think Kansas has separate sites for each class and the 3rd place game is immediately before the championship so it fills the seats and has a big game feel. Short of that, consolation games for state tourney are a bad idea.

@Levi_Hamilton1 @ChaseMatteson @1011_News @LHSLinksBB No reason to be harassing that hard that high. If he didn’t foul he probably wouldn’t have quickly lifted his arms in the “not guilty” position. Gameplay is so much better when refs don’t let defenders body, hand check, and generally foul the dribbler.

@coach_jb1 They won’t stop running them because it’s super effective when pencil-armed elementary students can’t throw a crisp pass more than 20 ft at most, less under pressure. And the ball is harder to hide when it’s so much bigger relative to their torso. Leagues should ban it, tho.

I think most fans understand where Nebraska falls in this new era of college football. The 90s aren't coming back. National championships aren't coming back. Probably even making the title game will never happen. I think what most fans would be happy with long term... -Beat teams that you should. - Always look like a competitive/competent team. Especially vs quality opponents -Be ranked most years. There is no reason Nebraska should be out of the top 25. -Beat ranked teams. At least 1 a year. - Make the playoffs at least once every4- 5 years. I don't think any of that is unreasonable given the resources and money we have. Do you? Would you add anything?
