We’re closing the gap between clinical care and community support, aligning with the @Rwanda_Child mandate to build a stronger, healthier Rwanda. Our latest findings are coming soon. Mass Sports for Pregnant Women initiative was launched by @cyso_org in 2019 and today marked its third edition. The programme was introduced to help prevent or reduce challenges linked to pregnancy-related body changes, including leg swelling, back pain, stress, and discomfort during pregnancy. Through guided exercise and movement, expectant mothers are encouraged to stay active safely and confidently. 🧘🏾‍♀️🏋🏾

Can a pregnant woman exercise? Yes, and it can greatly support both the mother’s and baby’s health. 🤰🏾🏃🏾‍♀️ Today, during #CarFreeDay, we joined the Children and Youth Sports Organization (@cyso_org), @CityofKigali and other partners in a mass sports session for pregnant women aimed at promoting healthier pregnancies and maternal wellbeing. The initiative also helps challenge the misconception that pregnant women should avoid physical activity altogether. 💚 #AdvancingHealthRights

Alongside our partner @RwandaNGOForum , we've laid the final stone of #Bilharzia #Storytelling #Lab Phase II Project in @BugeseraDistr. Partners commended the the project efficency while students celebrated the vast knowledge they gained in the program for the last 2 years.

Through Imena Program @hezainitiatives with @unicefrw Rwanda, @RwandaLocalGov @RBCRwanda, @Rwanda_Child and other partners, we trained and built the capacity of 500 frontline workers across five districts. Today, these frontline workers can confidently deliver and share key messages on five important health and social protection behaviours in their communities. We guided them and provided them the education materials, teaching guides like the one-egg package and the Imena learning tool to support their work. Now, every frontline worker uses these tools to teach and explain clear, simple, and evidence-based messages to their people in villages. They are now helping communities to understand important health information better and make good choices for their wellbeing. The program showed that, working together can improve knowledge, strengthen confidence and bring positive change to people. This week, we are hosting adolescents and young people from @KicukiroDistr for interactive sessions focused on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), patients’ rights, mental wellbeing, and access to youth-friendly health services. The sessions are creating safe spaces for young people to openly engage, ask questions, and strengthen awareness on issues affecting their health and wellbeing. #AdvancingHealthRights
