Harriet and I were honored to attend the opening of @britishmuseum's USA250 exhibition which showcases some of their U.S. collection to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. The U.S. Embassy in London and the Consulates General in Edinburgh, Belfast, and Hamilton will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026 to observe Independence Day (July 4). Normal operations will resume on Monday, July 6.

Economy Minister Dr @Carchibald_SF today held a roundtable discussion with the local companies who took part in the @InvestNI mission to the @SelectUSA Investment Summit, held in Maryland in early May. The mission included six businesses across manufacturing, engineering, technology and professional services. The discussion was an opportunity for the companies to reflect on their experience of the mission, identify emerging opportunities, and consider any follow-up actions where Invest NI or the @USAinNI may be able to support the companies as they explore expansion into the US. @niexecutive

First Minister Michelle O’Neill and deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly met with US Consul General James Applegate to thank him for his significant contribution to Northern Ireland–US relations over the past three years. They wished him every success as he prepares to take up his new role.
