But your video and media bites that surfaced on my feed today reopened painful memories of our #genocide and #exile. Today, I am glad you experienced what it means to stand in 40°C heat, though it must have been for a very brief period of time. I only wish the same sense of humanism & empathy had prevailed in the 1990s towards #kashmiripandits Now, Imagine living for decades in torn tents under 45°C temperatures, amidst snakes & scorpions, without electricity, fans, sanitation, or even basic drinking water. Imagine watching temples desecrated, sacred texts burned, homes looted & reduced to ashes, while an entire community cried for help in silence. Do you even know how many died of just Heat Stroke?? Humanism cannot be selective. Compassion loses its meaning when it depends on politics, identity, or convenience. The way Narendra Modi has changed the framework of the country's economy won't hold up in the coming economic storm.
The sad part is that the youth, farmers, and small traders of the country will have to bear the brunt of this economic storm.
It won't affect Adani-Ambani and Narendra Modi, because they'll stay seated in their palaces. This jolt will be very bad; the coming times will be very difficult.
