Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

The Israelis are terrorists. No other word for it.

Lebanon has been hit with one of the largest waves of Israeli airstrikes since the escalation began. Civilians are bearing the brunt of these attacks. Civilians are #NotATarget.

It was Netanyahu who started this war that has killed so many & put at risk the living standards of people across the world & it’s Netanyahu who is now undermining the ceasefire & chance of peace. Keir Starmer should lead & introduce sanctions against Israel immediately.

While the world focuses on the destruction in Iran, we must not ignore what Israel is doing in Lebanon. 1,461 have been killed. 4,430 have been injured. 1.2 million have been displaced. Israel now occupies 14% of Lebanon. Enough is enough. No more US military aid to Israel.

We've just been down the @BrightonMuseums @GMB_union picket line at #PrestonManor. Workers are facing cuts to sick pay, maternity leave, holiday allowance etc to the legal minimum and removing access to pay rises for staff members from April 1st.

We also need to support those fighting back against the small minority of well organised groups that are using vexatious lawfare to restrict the rights of trans people.

Israel must immediately repeal the discriminatory death penalty law passed today by the Knesset, as it contravenes Israel’s obligations under international law. The United Nations opposes the death penalty under all circumstances. The implementation of this new law would violate international law's prohibition of cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment. Additionally, this law further entrenches Israel’s violation of the prohibition of racial segregation and apartheid as it will exclusively apply to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Israel, who are often convicted after unfair trials. Israel has passed the death penalty solely for Palestinians, enforced through military courts with a 96% conviction rate. Israeli Minister Ben Gvir popped champagne. The Israeli government is raising a toast to genocidal apartheid. The UK government is arming and funding it.
