Every now and then I’m reminded that some r/immersivesim members haven’t played a single immersive sim since 2017 and they’d rather a new immersive sim fail than succeed (indie or major, no matter).

Whatever fire Skyrim lit in me years ago has been reignited by the Skellige Isles in The Witcher 3. The frozen misty mountains, bright flowers, verdant plains, and beautiful coastal cities. I love it all so much and can't get enough.

@safranicus @wesleytypes @thewitcher @CDPROJEKTRED Indeed. Both Skyrim and Skellige take influence from Nordic/Icelanding style and culture, which I love. Also there's one similar-style land in Crimson Desert.

Every TTRPG fan should check out the CRPG genre of games. CRPGs are a genre of games based around Good Writing, Party based (i.e. you have companions) , Branching Storylines and Choices that matter. Basically your DnD campaigns but singleplayer. #TTRPG #CRPG #RPG #DnD

That Gloomwood doesn't have the same mission format as Thief gets asked about time to time, and this quote from @rafcolantonio in the Noclip Prey documentary is exactly the feeling I wanted to create with the "contiguous world / object permanence" design.
