@JasminLaine_ @CTVNews I live for the day you are in prison for life for defamation and slander. You are truly the most evil woman I have ever seen on the internet.

@pmroadmap25 @tobi Ya, that’s not going to happen and I would put cash money on it
English

@tobi If the city can run grocery stores efficiently, it could set a precedent for other municipalities to treat food security as a public utility rather than a market problem.

@thewalrus Is ‘The Walrus’ like ‘The Onion’ with satirical takes or something?

Figure skating has long been a space for LGBTQ2S+ athletes to shine. Now, Skate Canada is taking a stand: no events in Alberta until trans athletes can compete freely. Mel Woods explores what happens when values meet policy: thewalrus.ca/the-sports-org…

@LSchackal @TristinHopper One of the ‘be kind’ short bus brigade right here!

@TristinHopper It's hard for Cuntservatives, to have an open mind!
It sucks to be you, to be unable to speak more than one language...
Honte à toi cher voisin!
Apprends le français et tu pourras avoir la job de tes rêves!
Sinon, ferme ta geule pis prends ton trou!
Français

I live in a region of Canada where French-in-the-home Francophones represent less two per cent of the population (we're also physically closer to Mexico than Quebec). And yet bilingualism is mandatory for a whole realm of federally regulated local jobs. "Bonjour/hi," to most BCers, means "the vast majority of local people couldn't apply for this job."
So I guess I'm just not as enthralled with the idea of government enthusiastically being employed as a language club.

@FoodProfessor @WayneMathison I predict this will be a massive failure. Since when has a city run anything not been a major screw up?
English

@JasminLaine_ @kinsellawarren I agree with Warren on a lot of things but he’s way over the top on Trump. And he can’t see it
English

@kinsellawarren That was a little too vague of a public shaming for a reason you didn’t elaborate on.

Yesterday I went skiing . As a child, I loved skiing in Lebanon. A beautiful land that Israel has long set its sights on.
Now an Israeli minister is openly calling for annexation.
We know Israel's playbook. Occupation. Annexation. Destruction. Loss of life. We saw it in Gaza.
Lebanon knows what is at stake.
The Lebanese people must stand united to protect their land, their sovereignty, and their future. #cdnpoli

@itsdesign @shuvmajumdar @ArpanKhanna @MichelleRempel We keep voting for those idiots so we deserve everything we get
English

@shuvmajumdar @ArpanKhanna @MichelleRempel Yes, and the Liberals are very popular too. We may need to face the fact that Canadians generally do not want either freedom or safety. They want the government to think they are good, Nice, people.
English

In a single day, the Liberals voted to keep predators on our streets, re-victimize families through endless parole hearings, keep leniency for non-citizens convicted of serious crimes, and keep catch-and-release bail for violent offenders.
And tonight, they’ll ram through Bill C‑9, criminalizing people of faith for quoting their own sacred texts.
Soft on real criminals. Hard on people of faith. I voted to protect Canadians from crime, and tonight, I’ll vote to defend religious freedom.

@brianlilley @desuroCda It was always BS to anyone with an entry level understanding of economics
English

@TristinHopper @Nick_Decap It is embarrassing that this even needs to be said
English

This is basically what every Canadian judge says right before freeing a child molester to find more innocent victims. Canada needs *exponentially* less compassion and empathy. We need to be concerned, first and foremost, with responsibility, competence and accountability.
