The pandemic fundamentally broke a multi-decade alliance and relationship of trust between teachers’ unions and parent voters. With declining enrollment, it won’t be reparable for more than 1-2 decades and I’m not sure anyone has fully processed what this means politically.

SFUSD teachers are still on strike. They’re asking families not to do the independent study worksheets. They’re also asking families to donate cash to them because they’re not getting paid while on strike. But please keep telling me this is all for the kids.

We learned this week that Aumni (@getaumni) by J.P. Morgan is being discontinued. Aumni was an early pioneer in the VC software space, and we have deep respect for what their team built. We’re wishing everyone there the best as they navigate this transition. We understand that this change may create stress for portfolio operations and finance teams who rely on Aumni for consistent access to portfolio data, especially with Q4 close and audits approaching. Per Aumni’s customer communication, portfolio data processing will end in mid-January, and the platform will shut down at the end of March. We've been in touch with many Aumni customers and team members over the past couple of days, and it's been wonderful to see the community come together and support each other. Larry Williams, University of San Francisco Athletic Director, died on campus this AM. He was working out and had a heart-related incident. Williams, 62, previously was AD at the University of Portland, Marquette, and Akron. He played football at Notre Dame and in the NFL.

If I was Nik I would have absolutely made the same decision. 18% holding of Revolut. Company will be worth $200BN without a doubt. $36BN position at that price. His cap gains bill alone would be $8BN-$10BN. Now in the UAE it will be $0. The Labour government has to realise we are in a global war for talent. Sad and mega loss for the UK.
