Son is slowly crawling out of that heavy shell the nightmare in South Africa forced on him. At night, he grabs his guitar, steps outside under the vast Colorado stars, and pours out beautiful music that fills the air around us with beauty. Sometimes, I wanna run after him with my Melodica, Violin or the keyboard and join him, but the moment is just so perfect, and doesn't need to be spoilt. He used to hit the gym in the early evening and race home before dark; always on edge, always scanning for threats. Now? He heads out around 9 pm and strolls back in around 11, free as he was always meant to be. No more checking doors and windows a dozen times through the night like he did only 3 months ago. He goes where he wants, when he wants. No fear. Just life. He suffered two major losses back in South Africa this last month, but his faith in the Lord is keeping him focused. I know he's an adult man, but it's tough seeing him go through this, and soldiering on. When does a mom ever stop being a mom? Never. Right? Soon he'll be moving into his own place, and he's buzzing with excitement about carving out the future he is dreaming of. Top of his list for the new home? A big US flag flying proud. A bed comes second. 😅 He is looking forward to seeing his sister in September after 8 long years apart, and meeting his nephew and Godson for the first time. This is the man he was always supposed to be; excited for what's ahead, full of energy, deeply thankful for every blessing, and profoundly grateful to the United States of America for giving him back his freedom. What a testimony to resilience and the American Dream. God is good. 🇺🇸 Together, we pray for all those waiting for their turn. But, more than that, we are praying our hardest for those who received ineligibility letters. 🙏✝️ I know God isn't done with you yet. Don't give up.
