I think such a core thing missing for me from so much fantasy / medieval content is the equestian aspect. A knight should love his horse the way a divorced dad loves his corvett. It should be his prized posession and most trusted companion.

Im now a nurse. I work 3 12 hour shifts a week. If I work weekends, I get a bonus per hour. I don’t pay for my health insurance, my hospital covers it. They are paying for my continuing education. Life gets better.
