As we celebrate AmeriCorps Week I found photos from 2002-2003, my year serving with Habitat for Humanity through @AmeriCorps in Alabama. I worked with hundreds of volunteers building homes for families in need, an experience that helped shape my commitment to public service.
Kicking off #AmeriCorpsWeek, @RepDonBacon and I introduced a bill to cut taxes for AmeriCorps volunteers and help them afford tuition or repay student loans. We're working together to encourage young people to pursue national service. Let's get this done! larson.house.gov/media-center/p…
AmeriCorps week begins today! For decades @AmeriCorps volunteers have come together to work for our country and make a real impact in our communities. I will continue fighting to ensure AmeriCorps, and the critical work it does, is protected for years to come.
