@IOivm @chihyu_chen_ @alexis_o_O @KZ_LAB_E @jinyaolin For those who visit in person, printed editions of each generated output can be ordered and collected, allowing participation to take on a tangible form. The work passes through its audiences in different ways, leaving behind fragments to carry forward. (6/7)

The most interesting things often happen in doorways, along boundaries, in those moments where paths meet and overlap. “In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms” reimagines the entrance space and screens of the New Taipei City (@NewTaipeiGov) Art Museum (NTCAM) — a threshold between arrival and departure, once only a passage — as a space meant not only to be passed through, but inhabited. Here, meaning begins to unfold. (1/7) #exhibition #art

We’re delighted to kick off our first exhibition of the year. In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms Aluan Wang, Chih-Yu Chen, Aleksandra Jovanić, Kazuhiro Tanimoto, Lin Jinyao April 25, 2026 - April 23, 2027 New Taipei City Art Museum
Galerie Met@GalerieMet

We are glad to share that Polypaths SE by @IOivm will be shown in the exhibition In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms at the New Taipei City Art Museum, from April 25 to July 4, 2026, alongside works by @chihyu_chen_, @alexis_o_O, Kazuhiro Tanimoto, and @jinyaolin. Thanks to @VolumeDAO for the curation. When works of art cease to be defined as static arrangements of objects, unfolding instead through a continuous process of flux, is the audience obliged to remain a mere spectator? Indeed, when the audience is no longer just passively viewing the work, but begins to shape its outcome and direction—becoming a form of participation—within this state of flux, might we be able to coexist with the artwork, thereby generating a mutual, collective meaning? With these questions in mind, NTCAM Screening — In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms, curated by Volume DAO, reimagines the museum's entrance space and LED screen as a site for artistic emergence. By transforming the threshold between arrival and departure, a simple passageway becomes a fertile ground for experimentation, where the meanings of such artworks might begin to reveal themselves. The audience is invited to become one of the triggers in the work’s generation. By using their mobile phones to adjust the parameters of the piece, the work is no longer simply displayed or viewed, but gradually unfolds and takes shape through the process of participation. This year-long NTCAM Screening program invites five artists: Aluan Wang, Chih-Yu Chen, Aleksandra Jovanić, Kazuhiro Tanimoto, and Lin Jinyao. Through their diverse generative and algorithmic practices, the works encompass simulations of natural phenomena and painterly techniques, generative experiments within digital media, and reflections on the organic relationships between the artificial and the natural. Here, the artworks are not regarded as static objects, but rather as continuously evolving states; within the operational contours sketched by algorithms, and at the intersection of viewing and participation, they gradually develop through the interplay of time, rules, and randomness. In doing so, moments of poetic resonance are captured, generating a performative space unique to each moment, while at the same time opening new bridges of perception and imagination across different systems, media, and artistic practice. Exhibition dates: Aluan Wang | 4/25 - 07/04/2026 Chih Yu Chen | 06/11 - 09/20/2026 Aleksandra Jovanić | 09/26 - 12/06/2026 Kazuhiro Tanimoto | 12/12/2026 - 02/19/2027 Jinyao Lin | 02/20 - 04/24/2027 In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms Aluan Wang, Chih-Yu Chen, Aleksandra Jovanić, Kazuhiro Tanimoto, Lin Jinyao April 25, 2026 - April 23, 2027 New Taipei City Art Museum No. 300, Guanqian Road, Yingge District, New Taipei City Curated by VolumeDAO

Developing a project for women × coding × art in Taiwan — looking for insights and experiences! This project aims to build a supportive community for women in Taiwan working with creative coding — through learning, sharing, and collective growth — while also opening pathways to international exchange I’d love to hear from you if you: - Have experience with code + art programs or communities - Know relevant organizations or resources and are open to making international connections - Want to get involved, support, or share any advice (Currently in the research phase — any info, experience, or advice is deeply appreciated 🙏) A small personal note: I’m quite introverted by nature, but I’m sharing this in hopes of reaching more people who might resonate with or support this project I’m applying for a government program with plans for an international visit in 2026 Regardless of the outcome, I’ll continue working on this — even if it means moving a bit more slowly

Lately I’ve been painting with code instead of a brush. I used to be obsessed with how pigments spread in water and colors melt into each other. Now I’m simulating those molecular dances through algorithms—and it’s even more addictive. Brush trails emerge from mouse velocity, ink seeps into “paper” when it slows down, textures and reflections recorded in every frame. Replaying the same path with a different seed—each run looks familiar, yet never the same. It’s not about replacing ink painting. It’s about keeping those fleeting mistakes and hesitations alive.

Here is our latest podcast - Looking Back at Generativemasks This generative art project—which some might categorize as PFP-ish—became a defining symbol of the NFT phenomenon in 2021. Shunsuke Takawo emerged as one of its iconic figures, driving much of its success. While his primary practice is daily coding, his contributions extended far beyond that: co-founding the Generative Art Foundation, participating in panels and interviews, conducting workshops, releasing new works, and taking part in exhibitions around the world. Together, we've accomplished numerous projects: Patterns of Flow, dialog() asia, Proof of X, the Takashimaya LED installation, and many other initiatives. Whenever NEORT found itself in the spotlight, Takawo was often there—either directly involved or supporting us from the sidelines. As Generativemasks approached the 4th anniversary, I've been reflecting on what we can do for this project and where it should go next. Many ideas came to mind, but the answer turned out to be quite simple: the artwork needs to be discussed, exhibited, and passed on to new audiences. We need to document what happened during that time—how people saw and felt about it, what makes this artwork significant, and who was involved. More importantly, we need to explore the new perspectives that Generativemasks brought to the space. @takawo worked tirelessly to contribute to the generative art ecosystem. Generativemasks was his gateway into this new space—an adventure that opened doors for him and many others. I believe it's time to let the artwork speak for itself. youtu.be/xV5qJAi2WXQ?si…
