Architecture so amazing that even expressions were sculpted in the stone. Our Hindu temples are way more aesthetic than the overrated Mughal architecture.

This day in Kargil, young Capt Amit Bharadwaj led a search party after Capt Saurabh Kalia's entire patrol had gone missing...... and they too came under massive enemy fire at Bajrang post Knowing they were hugely outnumbered by the enemy and there was no escape, Capt Amit ordered his men to return to base.... while he engaged the enemy so that his men would not be followed/ killed Hav Rajvir refused to return. Believed to have said 'bach gaye toh punishment de dijiye Saab. Aapko akela nahin chod sakta'. Both fought courageously to their last breaths. Today is their #BalidanDiwas 🙏🇮🇳 It took 56 days to retrieve the mortal remains of Bravehearts Capt Amit Bharadwaj & Hav Rajvir Singh.... Think of the families that had to wait Never Forget #FreedomIsNotFree 🇮🇳

Hindu organisations in Maharashtra have opposed the proposed Devasthan Inams Abolition Act, warning that it could transfer centuries-old temple lands to tenants, encroachers and private occupants. Temple bodies met CM Devendra Fadnavis and alleged that while Hindu temple lands are being targeted, Waqf properties have been kept outside the law. Read the full report on why the proposed law has sparked massive opposition. opindia.com/2026/05/hindu-…

India's greatest Internal National Security Threat has been ELIMINATED! As we mark 12 years of PM Modi, we look at one of his biggest wins: the neutralisation of Naxalism. This is the story of how the Red Corridor faded in India.
The Indian Matrix@indianmatrix

On March 30, 2026, the Home Minister declared the impossible: India is now Naxal-free. But insurgencies don't just run out of bullets; they die when the State alters its posture. We quantified 22 years of political will vs. kinetic outcomes. A Thread. 🧵 (1/9)

They said Modi should travel less to save oil. Then he visited UAE. And India moved towards securing 30 million barrels of oil for its emergency reserves. India uses around 5.5–5.7 million barrels of oil per day. So this is almost 5 days of India’s total oil consumption. In normal times, it looks like just a number. But during war, sanctions, shipping disruption, or Strait of Hormuz tension, even 5 days of backup can become very important. One flight used fuel. But one visit strengthened India’s fuel security. That is the one of the main point behind the UAE visit.

A Chinese proverb says “If you ignore the dragon, it will eat you. If you try to confront the dragon, it will overpower you. If you ride the dragon, you will take advantage of its might and power” The proverb speaks of three different reactions to power or challenge. The first part, “If you ignore the dragon, it will eat you,” is about avoiding problems or pretending they aren’t there. Some issues will get stronger the longer they are ignored. The second is, “If you try to confront the dragon, it will overpower you,” about the danger of challenging powerful forces without a strategy or understanding. But sometimes direct resistance fails. The final section provides an alternative: “Ride the dragon, and you will benefit from its might and power.” It is to adapt to the situation and make good use of its strength, not oppose it blindly.

Everyone on board Air Force One, including President Trump, had to drop their phones in a Faraday bag before proceeding to their itineraries in China. So what is a Faraday bag? A Faraday bag is a signal-blocking pouch that prevents devices inside from sending or receiving wireless signals like cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and RFID. It works using the same shielding principle as a Faraday cage. People commonly use it for privacy, car key protection, anti-tracking, and RFID security. Items inside a Faraday bag can neither send nor receive signals. @Sciencepostcard
