Go ride a bike. The kind that need to be pedaled. And not in street traffic, either. Unless your vehicle is tagged & registered and you are a licensed rider.

@BillieGoat_03 @MattisRedacted I was thinking, some kind of endangered insects habitat ought preserve the land.
English

@MattisRedacted Correct me if I'm wrong but if a state has endangered trees, wouldn't that be VERY illegal for that company to remove them once they're planted? If so, sounds like a win-win to me. We get trees, they fuck off.
English

@CynicalPublius @SamanthaTaghoy @Pontifex Plenty of vids of Nigerian Christians being persecuted by Muslims . . . nary a peep out of the Vatican. Becoming this blatant suggests confidence . . . or, is it the last, desperate cries of ever shrinking "globalist" thinking.
English

@SamanthaTaghoy Hey @Pontifex howzabout commenting on this instead of how upset you are that the USA dismantled a Muslim terror machine?

@LangmanVince Great dogs, super smart and eager. If you'd like, look into the Military Working Dog (MWD) adoption program. Get one that's well-trained, older, wiser. It won't eat your house and you'll be better able to decide if you're up for an actual puppy? lol
English

@_DOGPOOL_ @LangmanVince So sad. If people would go to responsible breeders instead of puppy mills, shops or backyard breeders, it wouldn't happen as often. Breeders want the best for their dogs, they won't let just anybody have a pup. We need to end the "business" of dogs, for all the breeds. :-(
English

@LangmanVince Everyone does until they have one. Most aren't smart enough or have enough work for them to do. It's why they are being slaughtered across the nation. Check out Downy, CA if you doubt me. Anyone that is able to handle one should adopt. They kill them by the dozen.
English

@CTKayMarie @TheRealMadOx Just a teensy bit arrogant, in my often other than humble opinion. lol Great profile name. 🌞
English

@WThaing @TheRealMadOx Just like they think because they elected Trump they are smarter than Trump. 🙄

Your Holiness, that sounds noble, until we remember history. The Catholic Church has spent over a century condemning socialism as incompatible with human dignity, private property, and the Gospel. Pope Leo XIII in Rerum Novarum called the socialist seizure of goods 'utterly rejected' and contrary to natural rights. Pius XI declared no one can be 'a good Catholic and a true socialist.' Yet here we are with vague calls for redistribution that echo every failed leftist experiment: envy dressed as justice, zero-sum thinking that shrinks the pie instead of growing it.
Extreme poverty hasn't been 'solved' by moral exhortations from pulpits or politicians, it's been crushed by free markets, property rights, innovation, and trade. Since 1990, capitalism lifted over a billion people out of destitution worldwide. Billions more escaped through the very systems you and your predecessor love to call an 'economy that kills' or a 'dictatorship.' Meanwhile, every socialist paradise, from the Soviet Union to Venezuela to Mao's China, delivered mass graves, bread lines, and gulags while the ruling elite lived in actual bubbles of luxury.
The irony is blinding. The Vatican sits on billions in art, real estate, gold, and investments, priceless treasures hoarded while lecturing the world on sharing. If 'equitable distribution' is so urgent and 'solvable,' why not lead by example? Sell the Sistine Chapel frescoes, auction the papal jewels, liquidate the papal investments, and wire the proceeds to the poor. Practice what you preach instead of demanding others (especially productive taxpayers and entrepreneurs) fund your vision through coercive state power.
Christianity calls for personal charity, voluntary sacrifice, hard work, and subsidiarity, not class warfare, centralized planning, or the state as savior. 'Those who don't work shouldn't eat' (2 Thessalonians 3:10). The preferential option for the poor is real, but it doesn't mean turning the Church into a mouthpiece for failed 20th-century ideologies that have killed more people than any other in history.
Focus on saving souls, not engineering outcomes. The road to hell is paved with 'equitable' intentions, and the Vatican has no divine right to pave it for the rest of us.
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex
Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

@JebraFaushay The one in pink must have hip dysplasia. It hops with both back legs together instead of taking steps. Instant disqualification if these judges knew a darned thing. Sad.
English

@WThaing Oh she's always like that at calving. We just ignore her now 😄

@gotrice2024 I'd take the $100, leave the pizza and say I'll be back with your change. Deduct any money I might have made doing this, the cost for gas and my tip. People can be accommodated, they can't always get what they want, though.
English

This man ordered some pizza for dinner. He knows delivery drivers don’t carry much money and he only had a $100 bill. So he called down and explained to them and the employee said it was fine.
When the delivery driver came out with the food he says he can’t break a $100 and only has $15 on him. The man tries to explain that he only has the $100 and that he already spoke to someone at the shop.
The man is now refusing to give the pizza back and suggests the driver takes the $100 and comes back with change but the driver said no, since it was a busy day. Should the man give the food back since he did try to pay and they declined his payment?

@PolitiBunny Life partner works when describing the relationship, one ought not see only a partner, though . . . the word was just for folks who were living together yet not married. Perhaps we need to bring marriage back and watch "partnerships" go back to subcultures.
English

@UpdatingOnRome @awstar11 This is the quintessential difference between people over 45 years old and those under 45 years old.
Taking 5x the time to communicate for no reason.
English

@UpdatingOnRome @awstar11 You've got much time to waste, it would seem! lol
English

@awstar11 I stare at my phone while it’s ringing and then immediately text them when it stops.
English

@awstar11 Gee, this could be one of those Personal Preference things, since etiquette says there is no right or wrong way. Glad you're not somebody I might feel the need to call for any reason. That would be a personal preference. Stating same, in public, is poor etiquette. 😮😂🌞

@OnlyGuild25 @VargasKevi23363 It takes two to make things good and two to make things bad. Good you found out what was holding you back. Men are just as responsible for a good relationship as are women. You've got a strong woman hatin' streak in ya.
English

@WThaing @VargasKevi23363 In my case I had a late diagnosis of ADHD & my brain was on complete overdrive thinking about literally everything to the point of exhaustion. No one talked to me about it and after I figured it out on my own they are trying to call me crazy. Men aren’t the problem usually!

Mi esposa dejó de pedirme ayuda.
Yo tengo 39.
Ella 37.
Antes me buscaba por todo.
—¿Puedes ver esto?
—¿Me ayudas con esto otro?
—¿Qué opinas?
Yo respondía… a veces.
Nunca le dije que no.
Nunca la ignoré por completo.
Nunca la dejé sola del todo.
Pero siempre estaba cansado.
—Luego.
—Ahorita no.
—Después lo vemos.
Eso era suficiente.
Eso creía.
Con el tiempo dejó de preguntar.
Al principio no lo noté.
Luego me di cuenta de algo raro.
Todo estaba resuelto.
Todo funcionaba.
Todo estaba en orden.
Sin mí.
—¿Ya arreglaste eso? —pregunté un día.
—Sí —respondió.
—¿Y lo otro?
—También.
No había más conversación.
No me necesitaba.
Pensé que era bueno.
Menos problemas.
Menos presión.
Hasta que pasó algo pequeño.
Se dañó algo en la casa.
—¿Lo vemos? —le dije.
Negó.
—Ya pedí a alguien.
Sentí algo incómodo.
—Pero yo puedo hacerlo.
Me miró tranquila.
—Lo sé.
Silencio.
—Pero ya no espero.
Esa frase se quedó conmigo.
Esa noche la vi organizando todo.
Pagos.
Cuentas.
Decisiones.
Todo sin preguntarme.
Todo sin incluirme.
—¿Por qué ya no me dices nada? —pregunté.
Suspiró.
—Porque me acostumbré a resolver sola.
No sonó a reproche.
Sonó a verdad.
Me senté sin saber qué decir.
Luego agregó algo más.
—Esperarte también cansa.
No hubo discusión.
No hubo pelea.
Solo claridad.
Esa noche entendí algo que nadie te dice:
Cuando alguien deja de necesitarte…
no siempre es crecimiento.
A veces es consecuencia.
Y el problema no es que puedan solos…
es que aprendieron a hacerlo sin contar contigo.

@OnlyGuild25 @VargasKevi23363 What portion of the marriage working smoothly might this husband be responsible for? Hmmmm? He wanted a Mommy. If he's sick in the head, it's his responsibility to figure that out, not his wife's. Jayzus. Grow up, and a set. If you choose to do so, of course.
English

@WThaing @VargasKevi23363 You completely missed that he was tired all the time. There is something going on with him & instead of having a fucking real conversation she chose to move on without him. That isn’t how a marriage works so keep telling yourself it’s always the man when it isn’t.
English

@Brown27070Jeff Maybe it's the audio . . . he'd prefer still shots because he's a lil self conscious? Oh dear. 😂😂🌞

@ThymeToBeBorn @TheMuppetPastor Depends, do the parents of the parent have blue eyes? All the niece and nephews in law are brown eyed. Both grands are blue eyed as is one of their parents in all. Brown eyes is a strong gene, it seems.
English

@TheMuppetPastor Well I can do the punnet square and two blue eyed parents and a brown eyed baby is sus. Two brown eyed parents with a blue eyed parent --not sus. Thanks 8th grade science teacher.
English

That depends: do you have good reason to wonder who his father is? Or it is just a nagging suspicion and nothing more?
If you lack evidence it’s difficult to justify to your wife. But if you’ve some reason to wonder you can test for peace of mind.
If she’s innocent and you tested, however, expect your wife to be hurt and wondering why her word wasn’t good enough.
So I would only advise it if you have reason to wonder or if it’s an obsession you can’t let go of. She won’t easily forgive if you don’t trust her word.

English

@TheMuppetPastor Before any testing gets done, look at the relatives. Does the kid resemble a grandparent? Aunt or Uncle? My mother used to say all four of the kids had different fathers, we all look so different from one another. Yet, quite part of the family when one takes in the wide view.
English

@scottwestacre Wow, she is very puffy . . . cows handle the venom far better than we wee humans . . . fascinating.
