There was a time Walk With Blue had many words. Then we ran out—too many funerals, too many tears. Silence isn’t weakness. It’s survival. We’re finding our voice again. Returning to our roots. Honoring those who serve & speaking when Officers can’t. Still here. Still walking.💙~M

They stood for something bigger than themselves. Today is about remembering the Americans who gave their lives defending this nation and the freedoms we often take for granted. Honor. Respect. Never Forgotten. 🇺🇸 #MemorialDay 🇺🇸 💙 ~M

Yesterday was my final day as Chief of Police. I packed up the challenge coins, the pictures, the plaques, and all the other things collected over the years. And when it was all done, I just sat there for a while looking around the room at the bare walls. Honestly… it was a bit surreal. For years, that office was rarely quiet. It was filled with conversations, problem-solving, laughter, stressful moments, big decisions, and memories that I’ll carry with me forever. Looking around the room yesterday, it was hard to believe how quickly the years went by. I also realized just how many challenge coins one person can accumulate over time.😳 As I sat there, I found myself thinking less about accomplishments and more about the people I had the privilege of serving alongside and the experiences we shared. Nearly 30 years ago, I started this career not fully understanding how much it would shape my life. This profession gave me lifelong friendships, incredible opportunities, hard lessons, unforgettable memories, and the privilege of serving alongside some truly remarkable people. This profession is not easy. It never has been. It requires good men and women willing to serve others, make sacrifices, and continue showing up even on the days when the job is heavy. That has never been lost on me. To the officers, dispatchers, supervisors, and support staff still doing this job today: thank you. Our communities are fortunate to have people willing to continue answering the call. I also want to wish Chief @CptQshort nothing but success as he takes over leadership of this department. I have tremendous confidence in him, the command staff, and the people inside this agency. The department is in very good hands. Hamilton Township will always hold a special place in my heart. And while the office may now be empty, the memories inside of it never will be. ~ Scott 💙

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) extends our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Retired Colonel James R. Wilson, who passed away earlier today. Colonel Wilson’s legendary career and leadership in law enforcement will be forever etched into the history of DPS and the Lone Star State. Starting as a young Texas Highway Patrol Trooper in the 1960s, he spent nearly 30 years rising among DPS’ ranks – even earning a degree from South Texas College of Law along the way – before serving as Colonel from 1991 to 1996. Even after his retirement, Colonel Wilson remained a steadfast friend and partner to DPS during his time as Sheriff of Williamson Co. and as a private citizen. Colonel Wilson was a true lawman, and our state and this agency are better off because of his leadership.

@saveoursheriff Your county commissioners want lawlessness in Pierce County. They want people to become victims. Voters need to be at every County Commissioner’s meetings and then vote the dirtbags out. 💙 ~M

Sheriff Keith Swank
Sheriff Keith Swank@SaveOurSheriff·
With the passage of SB 6002 Pierce County Sheriff's Office has turned off our Automatic License Plate Reader cameras. These cameras were not used to track people. We used them to get hits on wanted vehicles. The camera runs plates, and if it is a wanted vehicle, the deputy is notified. If it is not a wanted vehicle, the information is not even gathered. Now, we will have to go back to the old school way of typing in plates to see if that certain vehicle is wanted. Since we don't want distracted driving, even from our deputies, they won't be running many plates while they are driving. I'm all for privacy, but I am also for solving crimes and finding missing loved ones. It's a balancing act, and PCSO was doing that. We didn't put out flock cameras in your communities. This law will hamper us finding missing dementia patients, and finding that homicide suspect who just killed someone in your neighborhood. I am not saying this because, "I'm mad, and I'm taking my toys home." I am not mad about it. I am just letting you know our solve rate and prosecution rate will decrease. The reason Democrats passed this bill was to thwart ICE and keep criminal illegal aliens in our communities. They DO NOT care about your privacy. I hope voters remember this in November.
