My life-saving operation was cancelled by HCA (UK) for a ‘lack of shared beliefs’. HCA reinstated it, apologised and worked with me to create a gold-standard patient policy, to guarantee same sex care. I’d like to see this implemented across the NHS. Still working on it!

Last year, a London hospital cancelled a woman's life-saving operation at the last minute because it didn't 'share her values' after she said she wanted her aftercare nurses to be female. There's now been a major and brilliant development twitter.com/ripx4nutmeg/st… 1/4

@AjaTheEmpress I'm so sorry Aja. I'm watching this from the sidelines and year after year I am ever more astonished at the unethical behaviour of Filia. Once upon a time, they were a beloved org. To not even publish the review but claim they acted with inegrity, is a bad joke, surely?

Personally, I think Filia can get to fuck. They’ve already shown me exactly what—and who—they are: a bunch of lying, stuck-up twats who don’t want women like me attending their little circle jerk, yet will happily host Maoist feminists (personally invited by the top brass) who wish death on people —it was in their pamphlet—women who celebrate terrorists via T-shirts and get into fisticuffs, and even stalls selling “feminist hijabs,” to name just a few things. What a joke. Yes, I’m still salty about how unfairly they treated me—but I’m glad it happened, because now I’m under no illusions.

Deeds, not words. SM could show their understanding of the issues by scrapping the damaging idea that sex marker on digital ID needs to be "private", which would be consistant with minimum goals needed for reinstatemnet of safeguarding of the vulnerable. Until then, these are just empty words.

@lascapigliata8 Definition of terms is a key legal principle. An anti-definition position is chaotic and inflates litigation risk. I wonder why a group of lawyers would encourage this? 🤔

Yogyakarta 2.0. It is disconcerting to anyone eager to protect vulnerable from harms of trans ideology, to see another group of lawyers "not subscribe" to scientific definition of sex in humans. This is a consequence of harmful arguing in court that biological sex is a "belief".

They think balancing rights and reasserting single sex spaces and sports are all that matters - because that’s what the liberal GCs have unwisely trained everyone to think this issue is fundamentally about. But it’s not - it’s about dangerous legal protections for advancing perversion, delusion and child abuse. What about falsified passports and driving licences? How do you enact the Supreme Court ruling for sss in the face of official identity fraud which ‘proves’ the bearer is of the opposite sex? And what about the interplay between the PC of GR and the GRA, which drags kids into the conception of being a ‘transsexual’? And what happens in every workplace where those with GRCs and false passports and the protection of the PC of GR insist on indulging in their compulsive cross dressing fetish or delusion when in positions of power over the vulnerable, such as teaching, nursing, caring, policing etc? These aren’t single sex spaces, but the law still facilitates the unacceptably antisocial behaviour of asserting lies about your sex in positions of authority. The idea the problems caused by these totally barmy gender laws are comprehensively solved by the FWS win is for the birds. And that’s if anyone (including Ministers) was taking any serious notice of the SC ruling in the first place! What none of these lawyers and campaigners are prepared to admit is that they’re not balancing rights between different natural identities, they’re dealing with a cohort of people who are likely to be mentally unwell, sociopathic, a committed member of a cult or have been trained for years to disregard the law anyway. This one court ruling is not even vaguely going to end this. We need the gender laws gone, safeguarding actively reprioritised by govt and cross sex impersonation removed from formal documents and the mainstream workplace. No one else gets to lie and be protected when declaring they are transracial, transage, transdisabled or transspecies although such delusions and fetishes also exist (if more rarely). There can be no room for identity fraud in mainstream society - whether partially curbed by the SC or not.
For Women Scotland@ForWomenScot

We'd all love it if they repealed the GRA but it isn't our focus because: GRA was defanged by FWS2 it doesn't grant rights to SSS. If we'd have lost, our first act would have been to go for reform/repeal. Women are being hurt in prison, hospitals etc RIGHT NOW because of a refusal to implement law. That HAS to be our first concern - real world harms & real women's lives. They won't be helped by our focus switching from insisting on implementing law to a theoretical discussion about the principles of legal fiction, in fact they will be overlooked. While we remain part of Council of Europe there are sticky legal issues. If anyone cleverer that us can work out a solution, please do but don't scream at us that it's all our fault and we are, apparently, fans of gender ideology. Apparently, this makes us awful people who have betrayed women & are, laughably, profiting off the GRA. If anyone has brilliant ideas, go ahead, we'll support you but the attacks from people who are supposedly on our side has been horribly upsetting.

To be constructive, I want to compile a list of groups who are standing *resolutely* for Repeal. This is where our support should go. Safer Schools Alliance Party of Women Let Women Speak Restore Britain just announced its support, I'm not sure how solid they are on it. Please add if you know of any others 🙏

TERFs, we've been had. There's not one GC org left that hasn't become controlled opposition, gaslighting us that dangerous gender laws "can't be repealed". Of course they can, they just don't want to. It'll take years to recover from this and mount proper resistance. I'm sorry😔

This, 100%. I am the mother of an adult disabled daughter (very severe ME), who was told she is not entitled to same-sex care, only same 'gender' care. My daughter was also told she could lose her then two-person, live-in care package, if she refused to have a 'transw***n' intimately touch her body. So this hit me in the goolies. Also, decades ago, when doing my clinical doctorate, I did a specialist placement in People With Learning Disabilities (PWLD). I then spent years working in this speciality, so I have first-hand knowledge of how individuals with special needs live and how they are cared for in the community. And I have long wondered how gender ideology is affecting the lives of vulnerable women and girls and PWLD, who are living in care homes, away from public view and who have nobody to protect them. Luckily, me and my husband (a lawyer), were instantly able to correct the care manager who had told us my daughter was not legally entitled to same-sex care. (She also then described herself as an, "Christian, African woman", who would not allow this to happen on her watch.) But what if our care manager had not been a "Christian African woman"? What if she had been a gender activist, a person who like John McLachlan wanted to prove a point and to punish 'transphobes'? What would have happened if my daughter did not have a mother and father who could advocate for her right to dignified, appropriate, sex-based care? And what about other women and girls? Who is looking out for them? By this dreadful reaction, it certainly isn't @scope. They have shown their colours and they must be held to account about their disgraceful (and dangerous) conduct. This response from Mr McLachlan shows the laxity and complicity of the care sector in not only accepting, but in actively pushing gender ideology. Charities have been corrupted. They have forgotten whom they are meant to be 'caring' for and serving. They have lost their way. (I did a post way back about what happened when I rang the National Autistic Society to express my concerns, both as a DClinPsych and as a certified autism assessor, about their having links to Mermaids on their website. Let's just say they gave me very short shrift and the heresy of "transphobia" was immediately invoked.) Mr McLachlan has been stupid enough to put his views in writing, for all the world to see. But he's not alone. @scope is not an outlier. There's a monumental scandal brewing away, and the entire care/voluntary sector is neck deep in perpetuating dangerous and unlawful gender bullshit. We will eventually recover and throw off the insanity of gender ideology. When that happens, brace for horrors to be uncovered.

A charity that represents the needs of people with disabilities, which will include women who need intimate care, doesn’t want to associate with a woman who thinks those women should have same sex carers. The charity sector is rotten to the core, full of overpaid morons who couldn’t care less about the cause. @jan_murray was due to sing with her choir in support of @scope at the London Marathon this weekend. I think we might need to check whether this charity adopts the right safeguarding for women and girls, I suspect not.

We don't have the power to police anybody's speech. We have no authority to force you or anybody else to use language as it is intended to be used. There is no punishment we can impose for your incorrect use of language, and none of us want to do that anyway. No state backed institutions are supporting us in our campaign to stop the practice of referring to men as though they are women in public. In fact, it's the opposite dynamic. We have powerful state backed forces trying to compel our speech, and we are resisting. We can object and make the reasons for our objections clear. Which is what we are doing. That is not compelling your speech. It is not policing your language. It is objecting to your public use of female pronouns and the word 'woman' for men, and letting you know why.

Some of us have a moral objection to others identifying into the vulnerabilities of other protected categories. There is no legal remedy against it that I know of, but that’s hardly the point. If I saw a bloke in a wheelchair, I’d offer him my place in a queue, for example. It’s a breach of the social contract to feign disability.

I ask not in any expectation of a sensible reply, but simply because the asking of the question and the failure to answer reveals so much. Please set out in detail, step by step exactly what this 'shaming' looks like - what you will do, what you will say, how you respond if the person asks you to stop.

They are not. The Supreme Court is clear about this. What the ‘ultras’ will need to do is explain why they give hair, clothes and make up such magic powers and what laws they intend to invoke or create that will prohibit men from dressing as they wish.
Julia Long@OnChairs

Men should not be 'free' to ape women, impersonate women, 'identify as' (bullshit phrase) women, pretend to be women, lie about being women. We do not tolerate this in any other arena - race, age, qualifications, disability - and neither should we tolerate it re sex.

Following my meeting with the Darlington Nurses and Jennifer Melle, @DarlingtonUnion I am writing to the Health Secretary urging him to publish guidance on single sex spaces in the NHS, upholding the law as set out by the Supreme Court. Last year he promised to issue the guidance. We are still waiting. Do you think he will keep his promise?

@Women___Exist @jk_rowling @Thought_Po @theglassfish13 Of course not! It's bollocks to say 'it would rightly be considered discrimination...' Of course we have the right to discriminate against liars. We don't tolerate those lying about their age or qualifications, so neither should we tolerate those lying about their sex.
