A trend is starting among Persian accounts on X right now. Every time Europeans start crying about skyrocketing gas prices, and how America must help by opening the straight of Hormuz, Iranians hit them with the exact same condescending lines European politicians and influencers used during the Iran protests: "The reduction of gas prices in Europe must be brought about by the European people themselves, not by foreign agents."

Ok, get this!! Sit down… Remember a few days ago when I told you something big is happening in Lebanon? I said it’s even bigger than the beeper operation? Remember? Well, I was wrong. Something big didn’t happen. It was colossal. It was astronomical! It wasn’t marginally bigger than the beeper operation! It made the beeper operation look like child’s play. And now the information is public, so sit down for this one. I want you to stop for one second and think about something. Think about every time Israel eliminates a terrorist. Think about what had to go into that operation. They had to get the intel of where that terrorist would be. They have to make sure there are no civilians next to the terrorist. They need to decide on an attack plan and they need to execute that plan and hope it’s successful. That’s what happens every time Israel eliminates a single terrorist. The IDF has now confirmed: More than 250 (!!!!!) terrorists and commanders from the Hezbollah terrorist organization were eliminated in the largest strike in Lebanon on April 8 - including dozens in Beirut. A senior official in Military Intelligence: "Within one minute, we hit dozens of Hezbollah headquarters and eliminated hundreds of terrorists. The elimination of the commanders had a broad strategic impact, affecting all dimensions of the organization's capabilities. These were commanders with rich experience and knowledge who were cut off. We have not yet finished assessing the impact of the strike, and we discover additional eliminated terrorists every day." The operation was named “Operation Eternal Darkness” (Who names these things? I want their job. 🤣) and it lasted 10 minutes. Ten. Minutes!! Among the eliminated terrorists were several key Hezbollah commanders: * Hassan Mustafa Nasser - Commander of Hezbollah’s Logistics Support Headquarters, responsible for smuggling and storing weapons in Lebanon and constituted a central figure in the terrorist organization’s rehabilitation efforts and buildup in southern Lebanon. * Ali Qassem, Abu Ali Abbas, and Ali Hijazi - Senior commanders in Hezbollah’s intelligence unit. Responsible for gathering the intelligence assessment on the State of Israel, including the development of a target bank for strikes and the collection of intelligence. * Abu Muhammad Habib - Deputy Commander of Hezbollah’s Missile Unit. Throughout the war, and particularly during Operation Northern Arrows, he was involved in launching missiles toward the State of Israel. Habib recently led force-building efforts within the missile unit. “Following continuous intelligence monitoring by the Military Intelligence Directorate" since the wide-scale airstrikes on April 8, the IDF says it can now confirm "that the number of terrorists eliminated in the strike in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon has surpassed 250." The IDF says it is continuing to verify additional deaths, meaning the true number may be higher. I’ll remind you, while the beeper operation was epic, it killed less than 40 Hezbollah terrorists. It injured thousands but only killed 30-37 operatives. This operation? 250 dead and counting! I am fairly convinced this operation will go down in history as one of the most impressive and successful military operations ever! (Image is for illustrative purposes and is AI generated)

Speaking as someone inside Iran who stayed connected through Starlink during the total blackout, I can sincerely affirm the real mood across the country right now: We are relieved the ceasefire negotiations collapsed. The spirit inside Iran and the genuine desires of the people stand totally against any truce or bargaining with this brutal regime — particularly figures like Ghalibaf, a murdering psychopath who has countless Iranian blood on his hands. Every form of engagement or compromise with the Islamic Republic is strongly opposed by ordinary Iranians. We are determined to complete the uprising we launched in January. Any support the international community — above all the United States — can offer is deeply appreciated. For nearly five decades we have suffered relentless torture, sexual violence, executions, degradation, and sorrow at the hands of this tyranny. The outside world has no real grasp of the extent of our pain. The Iranian public feels zero concern for Hezbollah, yet the regime is ready to endanger the entire nation for them. They have always prioritized their terrorist proxies over the well-being of their own citizens. We exhausted every peaceful option: huge street demonstrations, open resistance, attempts at gradual reform, dialogue — you name it. None succeeded. The regime’s consistent reply has been gunfire, nooses, and fresh waves of fear. With the talks now broken down, I’m writing this from inside Iran with mixed emotions of anxiety, hope and grief. Whatever unfolds from here, most Iranians will feel a sense of release. No price is too steep to get rid of this evil regime and the price of letting this nightmare drag on is far greater, and for many of us, even dying feels better than one more day under these monsters. This reflects the authentic voice of the majority of Iranians — a people who frequently lack internet access, global reach, or any platform to speak. When we lose internet access, the Iranian diaspora becomes our voice abroad. While the ceasefire talks dragged on, they took to the streets in protest, clearly showing the world that we reject any negotiation with this regime and want Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to represent the Iranian people — because no one inside this regime ever can. As I have said before, the world will soon see why we declare: Anything for freedom. Anything to destroy this evil. #IranRevolution2026#KingRezaPahlavi

Imagine being a survivor of the January massacre in Iran, only to see the British Prime Minister tweet about how “welcomed” a ceasefire with your killers is. Starmer claims to protect civilians, yet he won’t even expel the ambassador of the regime that oversaw the deadliest crackdown in modern Iranian history. The IRGC isn't a "partner" for peace—it's a terrorist organization masquerading as a state. By prioritizing the "freedom of navigation" in the Strait over the freedom of the Iranian people, the UK has shown exactly where its values lie. We aren't standing with the victims; we’re standing with the status quo. 🇮🇷💔 #FreeIran #IRGC #UKPolitics

The United Kingdom has endlessly appeased the criminal regime in Iran. The Prime Minister speaks of protecting the innocent civilians of Iran but failed to act to help stop the regime’s massacre of 40,000 innocent Iranians in January. Only an end to this regime - that brings terror to Britain’s own shores - will yield lasting peace and regional stability. Keir Starmer should follow in the footsteps of Churchill, not Chamberlain. He should support the Iranian people’s fight for liberty. The Iranian people will remember who stood with them in their hour of need and who stood against them. There is still time for the Government to change course: prosecute the IRGC that slaughters innocents, expel the illegitimate regime's ambassador, and act to support the people of Iran.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

The two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran today is welcomed by the UK and our allies. The goal now must be a lasting end to the war. Alongside our international partners, the UK will work to ensure a return to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

As an Iranian who stayed connected through Starlink during the total internet blackout, I want to wholeheartedly confirm what President Trump just said: "The Iranian people want to be free. They have lived in a world that you know NOTHING about." For 47 years, my people have endured systematic torture, rape, murder, humiliation, anxiety, suppression, and grief under the Islamic Republic. It’s been a long, grinding suffering — punctuated by brutal spikes like the January protests, mass executions, and now war. The world has no idea of the scale or depth of these horrors. Only when this evil regime finally falls will the full truth pour out — in quality and quantity that will shock humanity. We have now reached a point where almost no cost is too great if it rids us of this regime. Because the cost of it staying in power is infinitely higher. If you’re reading this and you can’t understand how any Iranian could feel relief at their own country losing a war and getting bombed… I envy you. You have never lived what we have lived. You have never watched your people, friends, family, and loved ones get tortured, raped, or killed almost daily and over half a century. You have never seen an entire nation slowly but brutally suffocated like this. We tried every alternative imaginable: massive protests, dissent, peaceful reform, negotiations — everything. None of it worked. The regime’s answer has always been bullets, gallows, and more terror. Now, less than 24 hours before Trump’s deadline, I write this with a heavy heart from inside Iran: Whatever happens next — if there is still an Iran left to save and this regime is gone — the Iranian people will be happy with the result. No matter the cost. Because the cost of the regime remaining is higher, and for many of us, death itself is preferable to another day under this nightmare. This is the true sentiment of the majority of Iranians — the voice of a people who often have no internet, no platform, and no way to be heard. The world will soon understand why we say: Anything to be free. Anything to end this evil. #IranMassacre#IranRevolution2026

The outside world looks at us Iranians and assumes every single one of us is only fighting because we have absolutely nothing left to lose. Let me shatter that illusion right now. I have a lot to lose. I am 28 years old. I have people I love fiercely and a future I want to build. Because I work as a remote freelancer for companies in Europe and Canada, I am shielded from the absolute worst of the economic starvation suffocating this country. I do not face the same crushing financial reality as most of my people. But that is exactly why every single cell in my body is screaming to fight. I look around and see the agonizing pain of my compatriots. I see my friends, my family, and the fathers on the street who cannot even afford a simple bag of groceries. Just look at what happened in Abdanan, one of our most impoverished and deprived cities. The people there, suffocating under extreme poverty, stormed a store that supplies provisions to the regime's oppressive thugs. They tore the bags open and threw the rice into the air. Despite their own crushing hunger, they did not take a single grain for themselves. They refused to steal, and they refused to eat the food of their executioners. That is the absolute, untouchable nobility of a nation that has been entirely stripped to the bone. And if that economic slaughter was not enough to begin with, I have had to watch this cannibalistic occupation murder our people simply because we dared to demand a free, prosperous life in our own homeland. I watched them take Nika Shahkarami, a brave, brilliant 16 year old kid full of hope and talent, and shatter her skull. She is just one of thousands. I refuse to look away. I fight because silence in the face of absolute oppression makes you an oppressor yourself. I fight because staying quiet is the exact fuel that creates their violence. We cannot afford neutrality. We demand absolute justice. Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.

I’m a dissident in Iran, connecting right now via @Starlink during the #DigitalBlackOutIran‌. The vast majority of Iranians vehemently oppose this regime. Thousands of us have already died proving it. Most of those martyrs had active online accounts. Look up their names. You’ll see they all stood for a free Iran and the return of Pahlavi. Our most common slogans say it all: "Long live the King" and "This is the final battle — Pahlavi will return." Right now, the Iranian people are staying in their homes because @realDonaldTrump , @netanyahu , and @PahlaviReza himself asked us to until the bombings stop. We are waiting. We know the price of freedom will be high. But the price of letting this regime survive is far higher. We have accepted the cost — this war. The regime’s time is over. #KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran #IranRevolution2026
